These colder winter nights always make me crave Pho. Last couple of places I’ve ordered from haven’t been great so I was very surprised with this place.
I ordered chicken pho from Pho Y for delivery, and it was ridiculously good! The portions were big, with plenty of chicken compared to the noodles and broth. It’s hard to find pho with such a good balance, but they got it just right.
Even though it was a delivery order, everything tasted super fresh and delicious. The broth was rich, the noodles were perfect, and the chicken was tender and flavorful. I was really impressed with how much food came and how well it was all packaged.
This is some of the best chicken pho I’ve had in a long time, and I’ll definitely be ordering again!

Broth is honestly mid, there’s flavor but I added lots of hoisin and siracha and it was still meh. Amount of meat is fine and they package well. I most likely won’t go back, maybe it tastes different when you dine in?
Regular there, go almost, if not weekly. Fair prices (cash only), reasonable portions for the price! Pho Ga (chicken #17) is my regular, and it always hits.
Fresh basil and lots of bean sprouts included. The broth is so flavorful! Sometimes I get the Spring Rolls as well, and they are also fresh and crunchy.
Additionally, the service is consistent and very fast. I usually receive my food within ~5 minutes of sitting down. No frills dining, including no music playing, which provides a calm, peaceful atmosphere to eat and converse.
Hidden Gem!

Very good chicken pho and nice service. The broth was excellent. I’d note that the menu says leg meat, but they served breast (which btw was very good).

an OG pho restaurant so I gotta respect it ? But there’s some better pho places, tastier and with bigger bowls…
Parking: That plaza is not the best… looks a little dirty and I see sketchy people from time to time.

Being Vietnamese and tried almost EVERY pho restaurant in San Jose, Pho Y is at our top 3. Broth is delicious and not found anywhere else. Order their vè giòn, paper thin slices that are incomparable, slightly crunchy and tender at the same time. A must try.

Pho is all they serve here so don't expect any other Viet rice dishes or noodle soups. This has always been my best place for pho in San Jose.
Parking: Never had any trouble finding parking spaces here.

Pho is just right. The water is delicious enough. Meat is a bit small. If there is a chance, I will return. Will recommend to friends.

The OG pho house in SJ. Solid broth - you could taste the hours spent cooking the soup base. Tendons and brisket were fresh and thinly sliced, as they should. Simple menu with mostly pho and different add-ons. Feels home-y and a treat on a cold night. Cash only.
