I have been going to this plaza for a while now but never tried this spot, until today. I did a phone order for #1 pho large and egg rolls. I asked if the egg rolls came with the lettuce and mint, and it did. I went to 7 Leaves while I waited for my order. The inside of Pho Cuong is small but with plenty of tables. I paid for my order while I waited. The staff member brought my order when it was done. Unlike other pho spots, the raw meat isn't inside the noodles and herbs container. I wasn't able to find the lettuce and mint for the egg rolls. Turns out it was added inside the bag with the pho toppings (bean sprouts, basil, lime, hoisin and fish sauce for the egg roll). The egg roll was small but it was filled with the toppings. The pho broth was clean, light and wasn't salty. I didn't need to heat it up again as it was piping hot but I still heated the broth again. The noodles is a thicker strand, it wasn't the usual thin vermicelli noodles. After eating the pho and egg roll, I wasn't groggy and satisfied with my lunch. The price is also $5 cheaper than the other pho spot I usually go to. Definitely coming back here again.

I have been coming here for years! The broth is unbeatable, our typical orders are the Wonton soup with either white noodles or yellow noodles. As well as the New York Steak. I would definitely recommend this place and have been telling all my friends and family about it.

I absolutely love this place for takeout. They always package everything with care and generous portions. Everything keeps super well for a few days, too! Service is always quick when I do takeout, even when it's quite busy. Although most pho restaurants have pretty similar menus, Pho Chong sets themselves apart with their great service.

My daughter and I were visiting the fabric stores nearby, which I love dearly, and we both wanted pho, so we stopped by. It was quick, really bright, tasty, and wonderful food.The gentleman who helped us and took our order was so sweet and kind, and as my daughter has a service dog, we asked if he could have a bowl of water, and he brought one for him.Food was very delicious, fresh, and quick, and while it is in a strip mall, and not fancy, the tables were clean, the floor was clean, and I loved how there was a holder thing on the table for spoons, chopsticks, etc, so you can just grab what you need.Cost was very reasonable, and per the menu, it said tax was included, so it made figuring out total costs easier.I just wish I lived closer..... :o) I would visit more often.

I got the pho number one. It was not good. The broth had zero seasoning in it. It tasted like bones with no seasoning. I absolutely love pho and it's unusual that I have this bad of an experience. Most everywhere has at least decent pho. This was one of the worst bowls I'm ever been served. it kind of grossed me out. I ordered a large looking forward to left overs but I left most of it. I didn't have the heart to tell them it was bad
I got takeout vermicelli, soup and egg rolls all for $20. The staff is very sweet and friendly. He even walked out to my car to give me my food. The food itself is flavorful and authentic. I came in on a Thursday afternoon so it was empty but definitely a hidden gem! I would come back and recommend to others as well.

The food is good so I ordered 3 times in the past two week, every time I ordered with the same Pho+ beef meatball add on. The first two times was $18, but this time it’s $21. I asked the person at the front desk why the meatball costs $6 instead of $3, he told me that the meatball’s size is large. But when I arrived at home I found that the meatball is actually the same size as usual.Plus, the front-desk person was extremely rude, he slapped my credit card on the table when I paid.The other front-desk person was nice when I visited this place before. Not sure if they changed that nicer staff?♂️.Will definitely not visit this store again.

One of the better places in San Jose. Nothing fancy or pretentious about this place. Such a hidden gem in the Berryessa area! Authentic flavors, reasonable prices, flavorful broth for the pho and their Vietnamese spring rolls are great too! The owners are kind and polite.

I was fasting just to get a blood withdrawn today. Now I am feeling hungry I stop by to this restaurant to eat. I ordered combination fried rice plus they give me soup. It was so delicious I will recommend it. I guess I will be keep coming back here.
