Today, October 19th, I went to Philz to pick up a coffee I ordered online. My order confirmation said it would be ready by 9:50 a.m. When I arrived, it wasn’t ready, so I waited and asked the barista, Sabrina — the app showed she was making my drink, but she told me the two guys on the right were handling it instead.
After waiting another 10 minutes with no name called, I asked a tall male barista if my drink was ready. He said it had been “sitting there” the whole time. I was confused why it was just sitting behind the counter and no one called my name until I asked.
To make matters worse, I ordered a large coffee but was given a medium. When I mentioned this, he took the medium, poured it into a large cup, and added more ice right in front of me — using the same coffee that had already been sitting for 10 minutes. The drink was watered down by that point, and I didn’t have time to deal with it because I had to get to work.
I hope the manager reviews what happened (the cameras should show it) and addresses how this was handled. The service felt careless and unprofessional, and I’d appreciate it if the staff were more attentive to online orders and customer interactions.

I am a little biased, I've loved this place for years! I have to hit up a Philz coffee anytime I am in the Bay Area. First time at this location, but the service was excellent like always. Coffee was on point. I got the mint monitor and step dad got honey. Both were great.

I came in on a Tuesday (05/20/25) around 12:30 PM—not a particularly busy time compared to weekends. As I approached the counter, I greeted the employee (I believe his name was Blake) with a friendly “hi.” Unfortunately, I was completely ignored for about two minutes while he fidgeted with the kiosk machine. When he finally acknowledged me, he said, “What can I get for you?” with a noticeably annoyed expression, as if my presence was an inconvenience.
Throughout the entire order, his tone and demeanor remained cold and unwelcoming, which made the experience uncomfortable. As a paying customer, it’s disappointing to feel like you’re bothering someone just by placing an order. I sincerely hope this employee receives additional training in basic customer service and hospitality—especially when it comes to treating guests with respect and friendliness.
On a positive note, the young lady who made my coffee did an excellent job, and I appreciated her professionalism and care. It’s unfortunate that the initial interaction overshadowed the rest of my visit.

The coffee here just for some reason wasn't as good as the one in Sunnyvale. The creamer that they use just melts into oil whereas every other place manages to make it nice and frothy. I don't know what this place is doing wrong but they should fix it
