I had to wait for more than 40mins for a single cup of coffee. Way slower than any other branches. Don’t recommend visiting here unless you want to sit and wait for almost an hour for a coffee. TOTALLY A WASTE OF TIME!

Nice to have another coffee/espresso option in the north San Jose area. Has some nice positives, but coffee not being hot enough places it a distant 3rd behind Peets and Starbucks.
Good:
- many tables and chairs, more than Peet's and Starbucks
- good number of power outlets available
- initially they didn't give out napkins but now they have made them available
- staff is friendly and helpful
Bad:
- hot drinks aren't hot. I like my coffee hot so I can sit, relax and slowly sip it over time but theirs is just kind of hot or very warm. No, the drink hadn't been sitting there for a while; I picked it as soon as it was ready. I asked them to make mine extra hot but they said they cannot. I guess it's policy to make it only very warm (for fear of lawsuits?).
- wait time for your order can sometimes be longish

I had an amazing experience at Philz Coffee today. I ordered the Mint Mojito and the Filtered Soul, and both drinks were honestly some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The Mint Mojito was incredibly refreshing — the mint, the sweetness, and the smooth coffee flavor were all perfectly balanced. It’s one of those drinks that wakes you up but also feels super light and enjoyable.

The Filtered Soul was just as impressive in a totally different way. It had a rich, bold flavor but was still super smooth to drink. You can tell they really care about making every cup quality.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and had great energy. They took the time to make sure everything was right and brought a really welcoming vibe to the whole experience. The shop itself was clean, comfortable, and had a nice atmosphere to relax in.

Overall, Philz continues to set the bar high. If you want unique, well-crafted coffee and great service, this is the place to go. Highly recommend stopping by!

Is it really impossible to respect someone from the bottom of your heart? When a customer asks for a cup of hot water, some waiters will offer their service proactively, while others will deliberately leave.

If you want watered-down coffee on a Saturday morning, then come right on in! This place loves their watered-down coffee so much that it’s practically their house specialty. You’d think they brewed it with the same enthusiasm someone has for folding laundry on a Sunday night. I tried giving it the benefit of the doubt — maybe it was just an off batch or a sleepy barista — but nope, second cup confirmed it. Tesora tasted bland, still lifeless, still questioning my life choices. I'd rather just grab a water bottle and leave.

The atmosphere doesn’t help either — it’s got that “trying to be cozy but somehow misses the mark” vibe. Tables wobble, and the service feels like an afterthought. When you finally get your drink, you’ll be handed a cup that looks like coffee but tastes like someone whispered “eXpresso” over a mug of hot water. Yikes.

If you’re serious about your caffeine, save yourself the disappointment and head somewhere else. But if you’re into the idea of paying premium prices for what tastes like regret in a cup, well, this might just be your spot.

But hey, the banana bread is good though!

The coffe is great and it’s strong. My only issues, is the timing on the app. If you order a coffe and it says your order will be ready in 7 minutes. Be prepared to wait at least 13 minutes. This poses a problem for people in a rush trying to come and go. In all my times I’ve ordered coffee from here, I can’t think of one single time the app has said my coffee is ready for pickup and I end up waiting another 5 minutes before it’s actually ready.

nice seating area, coffee is pretty good. sometimes too sweet even when requesting lighter sweetness. kinda depends on the day. mobile order before work is really convenient.

Philz is one of my favorite coffee brands, but unfortunately, this particular store has been a disappointment. The biggest issue is the lack of consistency — the coffee often tastes completely different from cup to cup. Sometimes it’s burnt, other times it’s flat, and on rare occasions it’s smooth but overly sweet, rather than balanced.

It’s surprising because Philz beans are excellent — even my small coffee machine at home consistently makes a great cup. This store, however, doesn’t seem to uphold the quality you’d expect from Philz.
