Love Pho 408! The fried tofu is one of my favorites, the fried catfish with lemongrass is delicious, and the sizzling short ribs are always a highlight 🥵. The owner is incredibly accommodating with food alternatives, and I really appreciate the thoughtfulness. Great vibes, great food!

Finally, a legit Vietnamese restaurant in South San Jose. The sizzling plate(Bò né)with cube steak is amazing with very generous proportions. The staff and service were very attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend this place.

I used to only eat homemade pho because none of the restaurants I have tried nailed down the broth. Yet, when I first tried Pho408, I did not get disappointed. The broth is clear and slightly golden look, with a nice savory and sweet flavor to it. The meat used was definitely cleaned thoroughly, making the broth really stands out from other restaurants. The portion size is big, well enough to fully fill you, and can be easily split among 2 or more due to the generous meat portion size. Apart from the food, customer service and entertainment are a plus. The decorations gave me an authentic image of what a Pho restaurant would feel like + the clean environment that always pull me back. The staffs are extra welcoming and supportive to your needs during the meal. I would recommend this location to anyone any day.

We live nearby and were hoping this could become one of our go-to pho/Vietnamese food spots. Unfortunately we will not be back. Last time we ate there, a hummingbird flew into the restaurant because they kept their doors propped open to the patio. It proceeded to bang its head repeatedly into the glass windows trying to escape to the outside. It was a very sad sight to see. This must have happened before, because when we informed the staff, asking them to help get the bird out, they barely batted an eyelid and were not interested in helping solve the problem. Their reasoning was that they needed to take care of their customers. They would address it at the end of the night when the business closed! I couldn't believe the apathy. We had no appetite as this beautiful bird continued to bash its head into the window and we left soon after, food uneaten.
I don’t write reviews often but I had such a great experience here today. The food was delicious, the environment clean and calm, and the staff were so damn pleasant and sweet. I will definitely be back

The restaurant's staff is always very friendly and patient, and the place is always kept clean with a pleasant atmosphere to match. This is my favorite pho place in the bay, with flavorful broth and generous portions for the price. Their traditional Saigon coffee is exceptionally strong, but lovely nonetheless. Dining at this place is always a treat, and I always find myself coming back each week.

Best Bo Luc Lac and Bun Thit Nuong!! Pho and steak banh mi are also excellent! Yummy desserts.. sweet tofu and jelly grass is heavenly. Owner and staff are very friendly. Love ordering on their app as you can get points towards future order. Love this place!
This is a very clean restaurant, including clean menus and chopstick holders, which is quite a pleasant surprise since we have not experienced it in most other pho restaurants. Their pho soup was made from scratch, so it’s thick and tasty. The Vietnamese sandwich was the best I have tasted. The French bread was freshly made and toasty when served. This is such a good find!
