Tucked away on a small street, but wow Pho Garlic San Jose is a true hidden gem. Their specialty pho is incredible. The broth is rich, aromatic, and comforting, and the meat is tender without being chewy or too soft. The popcorn chicken is perfectly crispy with a light batter, not greasy at all. Every bite was satisfying. Parking is available in the lot behind the restaurant, which makes it very convenient. Definitely one of the best places for pho in the area. We’ll be back!

I’ve been hearing about this place and so far I heard right! Broth is amazing! They have specials as well! I had the Beef Rib combo that came with an entire rib, beef balls, brisket and filet mignon and beef stew soup. The broth is very flavorful and taste so clean and delicious. They also have egg noodle available. If you are in the East Foothills of San Jose and your craving pho, this is a must try!

Got the pho ga. The portion size was pretty decent and filling! They also have a jar of pickled garlic which not all restaurants have

If you're looking for some unique pho, Pho Garlic may be a place to try. They have a variety of pho, a few other dishes, appetizers, and drinks. Items were hit or miss for me. Customer service was nice and sweet.

The restaurant seemed to have been revamped or have a new menu now. I saw other reviews mentioning other dishes such as Bun Bo Hue, but they were no longer serving them. Check the attached menu pictures for the latest items.

* Rare Beef & Meatball Pho (Pho Tai Bo Vien) 4/5 - This is your regular pho with rare beef and meatballs. The rare beef was a bit tough. The meatballs were a bit fatty. The broth was pretty good, though not the most flavorful I've had.

* Rare Beef Pho (Pho Tai) 3.5/5 - This tasted the same as the Pho Tai Bo Vien. The downside was that this had the same amount of rare beef, but without the meatballs. You get less meat with this one, so I'd get the one with meatballs in addition instead.

* Spicy Sate Pho 1/5 - Sate can mean skewered meat or chili sauce. This dish was neither, unfortunately. It tasted like pho submerged in grainy coconut cream. Really fatty and weird flavor. I think if it was just a spicy chili pho, it would have been better. Not sure where the thick coconut cream base came from.

* Shrimp Tom Yum Pho (Pho Tom Chua Cay) 5/5 - This was like pho noodles in a Thai Tom Yum soup/hot pot broth. It was actually pretty good. The shrimps were also delicious.

* Egg Roll 3/5 - Tasted okay. Not a lot of meat. There were more vegetables and potatoes.

* Thai Green Tea 5/5 - This was really tasty and refreshing with the right amount of sweetness.

* House Milk Tea 4/5 - This was pretty good.

* Thai Tea 3/5 - Tasted kinda off, not like the regular Thai tea.

This place serves amazing pho. I had the chicken pho for lunch and it did not disappoint. Pho was fresh, noodles were cooked to perfection and the chicken was nicely cooked. It is a great restaurant to eat anytime!

New place! Been here 5 times and does not disappoint. I had the satay pho the first 2 times. By the 3rd time I had a theory everything is good so I decided to to order something different, the owner remembered my 'usual' and explained what I was ordering was different. I forgot what it was that I ordered but it had a coconut curry broth. It was delicious as well. I saved the egg noodles and some of the both for dinner... it was even better as coconut curry egg noodles. Today I ordered delivery ave the basil chicken was amazing. I've seen the owner/chef prep the rice paper for my spring rolls so you know everything is fresh. He makes his own chili oil and its 10/10. The new avocado and taro custard desserts were great too. He gave us a sample and I was surprised enjoyed the avocado over the taro. It's a new business, so things can be a little slow at times don't go if you're in a hurry and parking can be a little.Hectic, but it's definitely worth the effort. And I'll continue to test my theory that everything there is good by ordering something different each time.

Food is good, a little on the expensive side but the location is convenient so I don’t mind paying alil more. Staff is friendly. Wish there was an option for white meat only on the chicken pho.

First time trying their food via DoorDash! I ordered their Sautéed Beef Phô & their egg rolls! The food was fresh & hot when it was delivered. My first bite of their eggrolls was delicious! Nice and crispy and flavorful! But their Phô was the best Phô I’ve everrrr had! I was blown away. The rich, hearty broth was superb, the meat was very tender, the noodles were yummy, and the garlic chili accompaniment was tasty! Can’t wait to try more of their menu items in the future!!
