An outstanding bakery. Lots of selection of pan dulce at very good prices. The quality of the pan is excellent and i highly recommend it. The Pink Elephant has been around for years but they have maintained their reputation for quality pan throughout the years.

First and only time I buy here... the prices are very exaggerated... the place is very famous but the truth is bad service.I went to buy some Jalisciense tacos and the truth is I recommend these Jalisciense tacos and it occurred to me to buy some bolillos (birote) at the pink elephant for jn chocolate for my children but or surprise... each bolillo for $1 and my children say they are very bad.. they are better in Cardenas and better quality. The minimum purchase to pay by card was $10. It occurred to me to buy 4 donuts and ooooh another surprise.. each donut for $2.75.. hey with 4 I buy a dozen in other places. My total for 6 bolillos and 4 donuts was $17 and they serve you with disgust as if you are asking them to borrow money.. I do not recommend buying here.. very famous and everything but high prices, bad service and very poor quality.. greetings

Delicious authentic Mexican bread. Quick service. My fam has been buying bread here for years and we will continue buying for years to come.

Prices are often inconsistent and seem to vary depending on the staff assisting you. It doesn't feel welcoming anymore. I'm not sure if the employees aren't well trained or if they don't get paid enough, but the atmosphere is very tense. Some times they forget that they are selling and they need to be friendly and offering options in order to do the sell. The variety of options has significantly decreased over time. The counter used to be full every morning, but not anymore.

Open from early in the morning to late in the evening, and right off the Story Road exit on 280, Pink Elephant Bakery is a great choice to satisfy your pan dulce fix. Like other panaderias in the area, nothing is labeled and there are no prices listed, but Ana, the staff member I spoke, to was very helpful about explaining all of the offerings in English. I ended up getting an assortment of things, such as empanadas with different fillings like guava, mango, and caramel, as well as a concha (a sweet bread with a crunchy shell-like topping) and a puerquito (a pig-shaped cookie that's reminiscent of a lightly spiced gingerbread cookie). Everything I got was excellent, but my favorite item was the capirotada. I'd never heard of it before, and I only know the name because the receipt lists all the items I bought, but Ana aptly compared it to bread pudding. It does have raisins in it, for those who are averse, but I really enjoyed the texture and flavor. Pink Elephant Bakery does offer online ordering (must order 48 hours in advance), but I really suggest going in person at least once just to see the full scope of what they have to offer. However, it's helpful to see the names of some of the items online. Prices are extremely reasonable, especially when compared to other bakeries and donut shops where you can't get anything for less than $3 now. I bought six items for about $13. The most expensive items I got were the capirotada and the filled empanadas for $2.50 each. Credit card is accepted on purchases over $10. Parking can be a little difficult depending on what time you go, since they share the lot with the restaurant next door. However, if you stop by in the morning before the restaurant opens, there is plenty of parking. I haven't tried their cakes or flans, and I wish they had more savory offerings (apparently they sell tamales, but I didn't see any available when I went), but Pink Elephant Bakery will definitely be a go-to for me going forward!

My family has always gone to Pink Elephant for our pan dulce. When it comes to our yearly rosca, we're not too picky and will usually just pick one up from a grocery store while shopping. This year, however, I decided to order a large rosca from Pink Elephant. Well, we went about cutting into it one by one and let's just say we were pretty disappointed to find only one baby jesus! Usually when we buy a large rosca there's at least 3 which is perfect for a large family/group. It was kind of boring to only have one, and now the responsibility of "making the tamales" falls on only one person instead of it being split up by a few people on different sides of the family. The bread tasted great as always, but i think there should definitely be more dolls included in larger roscas. I probably wouldn't order my rosca from here again due to this.
