I ordered food online and arrived about 5 minutes after the scheduled pick up time. The food was ready and PIPING hot! It was so hot that my brother couldn't hold it on his lap in the car. But we actually really really appreciated it - it's hot pot after all! And instead of having to drive 25min away to go to either one of our houses to reheat it, we went straight to a park 10min away to picnic :) Thank you to the staff at Pop Pot. I really really like this place. The lack of consistency knocks it down a star for me. I've been here many times throughout this year and I continue going back because of one pot. The sukiyaki. I have yet to find any other mini hot pot spots that compare to Pop Pot for sukiyaki. Must try for sure. The instant ramen is thinner here than most places and it's kinda nice.
When we walked in there were still unbussed food/dishes on a few tables, and so we had to wait for them to get cleaned before we could sit. Then we ordered and the food doesn't take too long to come out. But the appetizers were not that special. The Chinese sausage was super plain and didn't have that much side of garlic, which is what you're supposed to eat it with. We asked for the toothpicks to be able to stab the garlic with the sausage together (authentic feel)....
