I like hangers steak and large scallops. The old fashion is made from a house bourbon.
Servers are attentive and friendly.

My best friend and I share a birthday, and this year the two of us decided to come here for dinner.
The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They made me feel important while I was there, even before I told them it was our birthday. Our server Gabriel, was always present exactly when we needed him. He explained the serving style excellently so we knew exactly how the menu worked and how to handle the food on the rock.
We decided to share the 1 Lb New York Wagyu Steak. Neither of us had tried wagyu before, and it was probably the best steak I've ever had. No doubt they source quality cuts of meat, and cooking it on the rock was both fun and gave us the freedom to cook it exactly how we like it.
Thank you, Rok Steakhouse! My experience was awesome!
My only critiques are legitimate nitpicks, and haven't affected my overall rating, but in case anyone wants to know:
I'm sure it's for safety reasons, but their knives were a bit dull, which made it difficult to cut the steak as it got smaller.
When we arrived, there was plenty of seating; it would have been nice not to have been seated directly next to the little bussing counter in the front corner of the room.
The room was a bit smokey. It wasn't noticeable most of the time, but there were a few times I definitely got a solid whiff of it.
The paper towel dispenser in the men's room dispensed the smallest amount of paper towel I've ever seen.

Great place to have a dining experience. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The dining room was comfortable and well-maintained and we were easily able to have a conversation because it's not too loud (except maybe when your meat is sizzling on the rock ?).
Food was delicious and came out quickly (although we were there during a 49er's home game...so not as busy).
If you go.....you must try something on the rock....at least for the experience. It tasted great and was fun to prepare it that way. One word of caution, if you keep your protein on the rock a little too long....the residue will get a little smoky at the table. But I don't think that will be an issue for most.

The food was okay, but overly salted. None of the four in my party were impressed with our meals. The food didn't justify the price.
The place was mostly empty during a mid-week lunch while the place next door had a line.

Looking for a place not as upscale as say, Alexanders, but pricey enough that I would feel like I was getting a decent steak. I was SORELY disappointed here.
I ordered the Wagyu (think it was $45 of a 6 oz.) and a side of steamed broccoli. There was absolutely no seasoning on the steak or the broccoli and the broccoli was still raw. The steak was cooked appropriately, but I've had Wagyu and the claim that this was Wagyu seems dubious to me. It seemed like a piece of cheap steak that, if it were well-seasoned, might have hid the fact that it wasn't Wagyu. Makes sense considering the price. The Wagyu I'd had before was significantly more expensive. The Chimichurri Sauce on the side was good and made the steak edible, so I did finish the steak. I didn't touch the broccoli.
My wife ordered the New York Strip. Again, no seasoning at all. She didn't care for the Chimichurri, so she didn't eat her steak at all. We wound up giving it to a homeless person outside. She got a side of shrimp with it that she said was decent, but for the price, she'd rather eat at Sizzlers. The French Fries she got on the side were actually outstanding. Perfectly cooked - crispy on the outside and soft inside.
The environment consisted of seat upholstery on its last legs and paint peeling on walls. A little care into the decor might make me feel like I was a steakhouse.
Finally, the servers were nice - very nice. They were pleasant to talk to. The host at the door seemed as though he did not want to be there and strained to give us a smile or even a nod. When I stepped in, I asked for a booth for two people and he stared at me for a good ten seconds before I said I was ready to be seated and he ushered me to two booths telling me to pick the one I wanted.
Overall, not worth the price. We spent $120 on lunch with the tip and apart from my soda and my wife's water, the images are all we got (mind you, once we were done eating, so my steak isn't actually on the plate anymore).

I liked the filet minon. It was super tender, high quality. The fish was overcooked making it dry but i guess that's to each person's liking. The experience of cooking it on the rock yourself was great. We went as a group of 6 and 3 of us did that so we experienced both. I would definitely come back and recommend this place as well.

Got a nice buffalo steak that finished cooking on a hot stone on the table. We stayed for couple of hours in an after-office happy hour. Friendly staff.

Good food, however not a lot of it.
The Chicken Teriyaki bowl was good and appeared big, but had a piping hot 3x2x2 inch “Rok” in it which actually made the portion more lunch-size. The rice was good and had good flavor but the chicken was over-cooked (hard and chewy). The last few spoon fulls of dinner had Rok rubble in them. I guess heating down your teeth crunching Rok debris is part of the experience.
Our server, Will, was great and very attentive.
Sajj, across the breezeway is a great substitute if you have the $$ to spend at this establishment.

Went there on Saturday evening and was able to a table without a reservation. There is seating both inside and outside with heaters. The concept is cooking on a 700 degree stone. The food was good, enjoyed the steak and the scallops as well as the sides. The inside was a bit loud, so it was a bit distracting even though the restaurant wasn’t super crowded. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. Would definable return.
