Loved the ambiance and the vibe. Set in downtown San Jose with modern interiors and elegant decor.

We are vegetarians and was glad to many options. We ordered garlic bread and Rigatoni alla vodka pasta. Both were very flavorful. We had Strawberry Shortcake with Panacotta for the dessert. Amazing panacotta with exactly right amount of strawberry syrup for the sweetness. Couldn’t have asked for a better meal to lift up the weekend!

Pretty good food with some traditional dishes prepared in a fresh way (I had the rabbit). If you're looking for traditional Italian food, this may not be the ideal choice.

This was our second time there, just as amazing as the first one. Its one of our favorite date night spots. The food is delicious. The vibes are nice and romantic.

We had a bunch of apps, which I usually like more than entrees at Italian spots, but the entrees are what shined through tonight. The branzino was perfectly cooked, deboned with lots of luscious fat. Yummy broccolini as well. The vodka rigatoni was great as well, also perfectly cooked and the sauce was balanced. Lasagna was great, many layers and nice char for both texture and flavor. Bravo.

I've been here multiple times and unfortunately every time I go it gets a little worse. The first time was so good. My most recent visit was yesterday and although there were multiple seating options they placed us next to the kitchen. Now I know someone needs to sit there but that should be the table they fill last not first. We asked to be reseated and although they obliged it was with a tone. Our server was pleasant and good but she seemed overwhelmed with too many tables. Her visits were very far and few between. It took an hour to receive our entrees and I certainly didn't mind waiting but when my lasagna came it was luke warm and a little mushy. This is the dish I loved here but not this time. I ordered a side of meatballs and they were not hot as well. My wife's rabbit was at a good temperature and tasted good however, her side of rigatoni was cold and flavorless. It seems the same understaffing Issues are also in the kitchen. The quality was off. The best part of the meal was the mushroom arancini. Unfortunately, I think this will be my last visit here for a while. I like the happy hour and that may bring me back.

I made a reservation here for my girlfriends birthday dinner and let me tell you, the experience from top to bottom was top notch. She absolutely loved it and made her feel very special. For starters, incidentally, it was the restaurants 1 year anniversary so complimentary champagne was offered to us upon entry. My girlfriend was handed a hand written birthday card from the restaurant right after that which is an incredible touch. The food was flavorful and spectacular, the ambiance was quite vibrant yet had pockets of chiller areas where you could hold conversations with the folks at your table. I'd 1000% return here the next time I'm in San Jose!

Rollati has a fabulous atmosphere and decor. It feels classy, industrial, down-to-earth yet upscale. It just has that vibe that you're going to get phenomenal hand-made pasta. From that regards, I was extremely excited as I ordered.

Food "looks" right and clearly they have put effort in the presentation. However, overall it comes out incompetent and bland. The chef has played it too safe. I wouldn't be surprised if every dish was served at Olive Garden. It's not that they are not tasty nor edible. They're just not special. At least at Olive Garden, you get value.

Fried calamari - bland and mainstream. Crab cakes - bland and uneventful. Garlic bread only saved by the cheese. Fried risotto balls - what am I eating? It was just fried mush. Lobster or crab pasta was salvaged by the seafood but again, the pasta and the sauce was just mediocre. Oh the chocolate creme pot... just skip it.

Perhaps the 3 stars on the food is not quite fair. But when you are really pushing for an authentic Italian ristorante, you have to do better.

Likely won't be returning unless there's a large group.

Parking: There's a parking lot right next to the building. Also free street parking from 6pm if you can find one. The neighborhood is a bit shady so caution there.

Refined ambiance. Limoncello Spritz had a nice buzz Salute Mule was too sweet. Eggplant Caponata was flavorful. Garlicky Greens were cooked just right. Lobster Arrabiata had a delicate sauce that had just enough salt to allow the seafood to come through. The linguini came in long unbroken noodles that were a pleasure to roll on the fork with the help of the thoughtfully provided pasta spoon. However it was cooked unevenly, with the top portion overdone but the bottom serving just right.
