I went to Rosario's Taco's and was very disappointed. The surf n turf (birria & shrimp) were very oily, horrible aftertaste. The shrimp was rubbery. The plate was $28.50 or one for $8.75 but you had to pay $5 for consume. The rice was old and dry. The beans had absolutely no flavor, including the burritos. The carne asada meat on a taco was very dry. I guess I should have taken it as a clue that the place was empty on a Saturday during dinner. I question the positive reviews; they can't be real!

The quesabirria and surf n turf crispy tacos are off the hook! This little hole in the wall gem is awesome. The food is delicious. the menu simple, they have place to sit, and they’re super nice. Maybe the best in San Jose.
May 2025 update: I’ve been here a few times since the previous review but it’s good so imma give an update now. The burrow taco plate is da bomb! Three tacos plus beans ‘n rice and it comes with consume. BTW, the host/manager/owner(?) is super nice.
Pro tip: when it comes out, it’s steaming hot. Don’t burn your mouth just cuz you’re so hungry and it smells so good!

I saw this place on a YouTube San Jose food tour video a while back. I went today and it was worth the hype. The surf and turf birria taco was amazing, highly highly recommend. The shrimp were huge and perfectly cooked and just added perfectly to the birria. I traveled from an hour away to try it. I also had an Al pastor street taco which was excellent… very well cooked and little to no grease. High quality ingredients and simplified menu. Hard to say anything could beat the food, but the owners were also some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I wish I was local and could go every week, these people absolutely deserve to have a line out the door every day. A no frills spot with quality ingredients and a simplified menu. Enjoy!
