This is one of the best South Indian food I’ve tasted in South Bay Area. The ambiance and soul lifting smell we got when we entered is something missing most other good South Indian restaurants here. The kal choru (seeraga samba chicken biriyani) still evokes an amazing feeling 8 hours after I had the lunch. The pothi choru we ordered had multiple delicious flavors. The chakka payasam (jackfruit pudding) that comes it was out of the world. Even the beverages was good - the rose almond milk; however the mint ginger lime drink was so so. Overall had an amazing experience

We ordered togo dosa , Uthappam, panner masala, and parotta For close to 70$ and after reaching home they have not given sambar chutney for dosa and uthappam. When called they said they Cannot deliver what They missed. They just provided a 6.99$ refund, leaving us unable to eat half the food properly . when asked they mentioned if you can drive back we can give you sambar chutney. very disappointed with service for the amount they charge.

Smart and fancy and” Vijay Malliya” kind of restaurant that. knows how to cheat people With fancy things. They will serve you in fancy copper plate but the food is average and price is very high. Read disclaimer before ordering , as they will say you might have diaeera and we are not responsible when you eat our food because you ordered it.

We ordered from Saapaadu for our child’s birthday, and the entire experience was fantastic!
From the careful packaging to delicious flavors, they went above and beyond. Their chicken kal soru and kola urundai was an absolute hit - both are must try dishes! They truly made our celebration special. Highly recommend for any occasion!

We catered with Saapadu for a backyard party few weeks back, the food was great, very neatly packed and delivered on time, the coordination was very smooth and they went above and beyond to cater to our needs. Highly recommend !!

Restaurantji Recommends
Food overall is great here. Both the parotta and the OG bowl were really good. The sabzis were flavourful, rice was cooked well. Only the vada in the bowl was not fresh. ( I know this because we ordered an appetizer of vada also which were fresh).
Only the rasmalai we ordered was inedible. It was really bad.
We were quite disappointed with the service here. As soon as you walk into the restaurant no one will acknowledge you and you are just supposed to take a seat by asking a server. The orders are placed by phone which I really dislike, since there is no way to ask what to get, whats special etc. The appetizers came after the main course. The main courses for me and my husband were timed quite apart. Nobody came to clear up our plates also as the table was getting full.
Overall great food, bad service.

I had lunch here with a colleague.. Accidentally picked this place and to my surprise this place is so good. The details like copper finishing plates, cutlery, tumbler, glasses, the design in walls all blended so well. The owners of the place definitely thought through every detail and it worked out really well. I had plantain bajji, Veg Kothu parotta and Paneer Biryani. All the dishes came out well and quality and quantitiy of the food is nice. Special mention to the music in the background, as that's very tasteful as well and blends well with the overall theme. This place is certainly a tasteful one. It doesn't have quite a lot of non-south Indian dishes.

Food was delicious and authentic. The service was amazing too. We loved the Vegetarian chatti choru and the kavuniarisi sakkaraipongal. It was good to finally have an Indian restaurant which used good oils for its dishes. I hope they continue to keep it that way.
