This place is great. The menu is minutes but everything is great and the food comes super fast. One of our favorites, and you can always get a table.

I finally tried this place after living nearby for years and I honestly wish I had come sooner. I had read a few bad reviews about the customer service, but my experience was completely different.

We came in early, and Uki, the manager, was doing everything on her own greeting guests, slicing the meat, and serving tables. She was incredibly friendly, efficient, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Her effort really stood out and made the whole experience even better.

The food was very fresh, and we ordered the all you can eat option. The quality of the meat, the veggies, and the dipping sauces were all excellent. Plus, the price was very reasonable for what you get.

It was my first time here, and I’ll definitely be coming back. This place deserves more love sometimes you just have to try it yourself instead of relying on mixed reviews

This place is okay if you want a simple little hot pot meal. It’s not like a self serve hot pot experience, where you have large variety of noodles, veggies and other sauces, etc.

Service was pretty non-existent for us, until I spoke up to ask about our protein/meat. The manager did give us discount on our bill which was nice to compensate for the lack of timely service.

The food quality is good, not memorable but simple and good.

I recently visited this restaurant and ordered the Kobe beef. I was genuinely looking forward to enjoying a high-quality meal, but the experience was very disappointing.

As shown in the photo, the beef served had large sections of brown-colored fat. This is not only unappetizing—especially for shabu shabu—but also raises concerns about freshness. Who wants to eat meat that looks like that? The fat was brown and discolored, far from the fresh, marbled appearance you expect when ordering Kobe beef. If the fat looks like that, it shouldn’t be served to customers at all.

The first dish we received was somewhat eatable after I removed most of the fat. However, this dish, after a few bites, I noticed the flavor still didn’t seem right—it had a strange, metallic taste. I asked my son to try it, and we both agreed something was off. We decided to stop eating it.

Beef, especially premium cuts like Kobe or anything intended for shabu shabu, should be stored properly and served fresh—with a vibrant color and clean marbling. Discolored fat and off flavors are a clear sign of poor handling or quality issues. At the very least, dishes in that condition should not be brought out to customers.

I didn’t complain during the meal because my son asked me not to. Afterward, he asked if I would want to come back. When I turned the question back to him, he said he never wanted to return. Even a 15-year-old could tell that the beef didn’t taste fresh or healthy.

I won’t be returning. I hope the restaurant seriously reviews its quality control before serving dishes like this again.

The all-you-can-eat option is more cost-effective, and the meat quality is good, but the dishes are a bit monotonous and the portions are relatively small. I have eaten it more than a dozen times and it feels good.

Very delicious, very good, highly recommended

Be cautious when choosing the all-you-can-eat option here. The quality of the meat, even their premium Wagyu, is poor. After only the second round of orders, the owner selectively chooses the meat (worse quality) to serve, which felt unfair. Their “lean wagu” is cut too thick and worse than the meat from Safeway. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with no intention of returning

Shabuway used to be my friend and I’s favorite go-to hotpot place for a long time! However, in the recent year or so their prices have gone up—exceeding the average price of other nearby hotpot places. The veggie plate is also a little scarce. However, the taste and quality of the meat and broth remain top-notch and delicious. Their sauce also pairs very well with the flavors. Personally I love the spicy miso base! I would definitely recommend coming here if you don’t mind spending $30-40 for a meal!

Traveled here for this. Sign on the door says they are open. Waiter says they are closed earlier than the stated time.

Had a poor experience, went in at 5:45pm staff was not ready to take orders and was still busy prepping .
- beef quality wasn't great (tendony)
- rice undercooked (hard granular)
- kitchen staff spilled dish washing water
and flew to the guest area, I had to ask to mop up before it got under my feet
- limited menu (no dessert)
- not sure why raw beef slicing was done out in the restaurant serving space, a little unhygienic.

Staff was friendly though.

Came over for lunch. It is a typical shabu restaurant. There is a special menue for lunch where guests select the type of cut, and broth. Some broth has spicy rating so make sure to select the spicy level that you can be comfortable with. The broth is a little on the salty side. Meat is freshly prepared, same as vegetables. Attentive staff to check on guests. The place is not much busy at that time.

The savory broths and solid meat cuts offer a delightful shabu shabu experience that's well worth the wait in line. All you can eat was reasonably priced for the quality, the atmosphere is simple yet inviting. Service is efficient and friendly, ensuring a satisfying dining adventure

Unfortunately we both found strips of plastic in our food. It happened twice and then after telling them we were only discounted $3 off a $75 meal
