I arrived at the store at seven o'clock and was told to wait for half an hour to pick up a number. At eight o'clock, I received a text message saying that the seats would be available soon.
Waiting at the door, the waiter took out the order code on the table and repeatedly said in a persuasive tone that our dishes are freshly prepared and may have to wait for more than 20 minutes. Is this acceptable to you?
No. I've been waiting for over an hour. Do I still care about these 20 minutes?
OK, we stood outside to finish ordering and then waited for more than ten minutes.
Finally seated, no one poured water
The food arrived. It did take 20 minutes.
Hot and double crispy. This is the first time I have eaten fried stir-fry soaked in red oil and still warm. To be honest, I don’t care about pre-made dishes. 32 dollars a portion is more expensive than LA. Why are you talking nonsense and insisting on freshly made dishes?
(For comparison, here is the hot double crispy meal I had in LA a few days ago for $22)
(The other three dishes were even worse. I was too lazy to take pictures. All the dishes were soaked in oil, whether they were stir-fried or not)
The most amazing thing is that before the food was even served and no one had even taken two bites, the waiter brought the POS machine to pay and said that it was closing and we had to pay first.
I have always tipped 18% by default for dinner. This is the first time I changed it to 10% in front of the waiter (thinking about it now, I shouldn’t have tipped 10%).
Absolutely. Do people in the Bay Area only deserve to spend money to eat the same Chinese food?
btw My stomach felt uncomfortable the next day after eating it.
If you are willing to spend money and suffer, you must come and experience it.

I won’t talk about other places, but it is indeed the most authentic in the Bay Area.

I love Shang cafe Fremont, and hence I was thrilled when they have this new opening near my home. However, the service and food is not comparable with the Fremont one. We came here once, it was not as good, but we still decided to give it a second chance. This time we ordered one spicy dish, and two non-spice vegetable dishes to mitigate the spice. However, we waited for 1 hour after ordering, and the only thing they brought to us is the vegetable. We waited for another twenty minutes (almost finished the meal) and the spicy dish which we really looked forward to is still not served (I am still waiting for it while I write this angry review). Would never come to this place ever again.
