YUM. Can I just say... YUM. Okay, here's the rest: I met a friend for dinner here on a weeknight around 5:30 or so & it was perfect. No people. Well, maybe one or two other tables of peoolebut in general, it was early enough to beat crowds (which there later came to be). We were seated right away & ordered using the digital ordering menu system. The place had plenty of seats with a variety of table sizes to accommodate parties of various sizes. Despite ordering digitally, their staff was still very attentive, stopping in to check on our needs often. It was very nice to have someone stay on top of my water needs. I ordered the curry beef udon sizzling plate & it was sizzelicious! Everything was nice & fresh & the meat cooked up quickly so I dove right in. The udon noodles were perfectly textured & I liked the corn which was a fun texture to add to the plate. For those who've never been, this is a place you want to visit in clothes that you don't care getting covered in the smell of oil all over. That sizzle gets all up in your clothes, your hair, your skin if you get your face in there, so don't dress to the nines if you're planning a visit (or do if you love the smell of oil, I guess. You do you.) This place is comparable to Pepper Lunch in Milpitas - love both places. Now I'm hungry.

I ordered the shrimp udon and takoyaki. The Takoyaki was great but the Udon was a different story. Its not Udon soup, its more of a saucy and the flavors arent bad but i added fried garlic but its was too much and it made my dish taste bitter

If it's your first time trying and you're not sure what to get the server will help you out. Everybody there is friendly and willingly to help with anything. The food is delicious no matter what toppings you put on your plate.

It's always a simple but tasty lunch or Togo dinner place. It is pricy though. The garlic beef is always a safe choice. My kids also love the curry chicken. A lot of curry in a separate delicate container.

This place has become my Dads and I favorite place to have dinners when he visits. His favorite dish is the steak dish and I go back and forth from the garlic pepper beef and kimchi pepper beef, either one is amazing! The curry beef is also a really good option!

My friends and I enjoy this place, it's a fun experience, just make sure to cook your meat as soon as it comes out on the sizzling plate so the meat can be cooked thoroughly! They offer many different options of meat from salmon, beef, pork belly and even chicken, they have a lot of different appetizers as well. You order on the iPad, the staff is friendly and helpful.

Spectacularly yummy food! I had the recommended Spicy Garlic Beef Pepper Rice. I love being able to control my own sauce application. The helpful staff taught us how to stir before eating. It's pretty noisy and the floors are little bit slippery from the sizzling dishes but I will be back!
Ordered the cheese fries and garlic beef pepper rice. Let me just say, portions are HUGE! Definitely had trouble finishing my rice but the fries were a perfect sharing size with two other people. Honestly, the amount of garlic was a little too much for me so next time I'll go with the beef pepper rice since that already comes with garlic butter. It was pretty busy on a weeknight for dinner, we had to wait about 10 minutes for our table since each table was full, but the food came out quick after ordering. You order at the tablet on your table so it's very convenient. Overall definitely a good place to go if you're hungry and want something hot and filling.

Overall pretty good experience. The staff was very kind and it has a cute and cozy atmosphere, similar to my experience at the other chain locations. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable and a nice place to go with friends. Beef Pepper Rice ($16) 3.5/5 Solid meal! Decent portion and nice flavors from the sauces on the side. I found the actual plate to have a lack of flavor but the sauces on the side saved it for sure. The meat portion was decent but I definitely could have used more. The rice and meat were also dry. The excessive amount of sauce I put on the dish brought moisture and flavor back but on its own it wasn't very good. I would have also preferred more garlic butter to add more moisture as well. Great ambiance and location though!

I would always go to Sizzling Lunch in SJ but now that it's in Fremont I barely go, LOL! But it is always a hit once I come. The portions are fairly large for me (I never finish ). I love their touchscreens for easier ordering and just how casual it is to eat here.
