Very fast and good service , thank you for all help
I went here on a Monday, with an appointment, to apply for an SSN. Gotta say, the staff were nice, contrary to previous reviews and since I had an appointment, it took about 20 mins for the whole process.
My experience was very quick and efficient! The Social Security Administration office entrance is tucked away in an alley. Your items will be inspected TSA-style, after which you can take the elevator to the SSA office on the second floor.
I walked in at 3:30pm with no appointment, scanned a QR code to explain the reason for my visit, then got a physical ticket. My number was called around 4:15pm, and I was out the door by 4:30pm.
Tips:
- When I came on a Monday afternoon, there was plenty of street parking around The Grad
- Use the Passport Parking app to easily and remotely refill the parking meter
- The office stops accepting walk-ins and appointments at 4pm, but they don't close at 4pm. If you arrive before the 4pm cutoff time, you will be seen
- Name changes will be reflected in the SSA system within 24-48 hours, in the event you need to change your name at the DMV after
God help us all. Extraordinary long waits on hold only to shoot the dice on how competent or more likely incompetent the person who answers will be. I recently called to ask for information and guidance on a BIG question: how capitol gains from the sale of your home will impact your SSA and or Medicare. The person who answered fast talked jibber jabber giving NO discernible information or help. All I got was that it will impact my medical costs( raise them) —how much and how does it work and where’s information to know about this is a mystery. Now I hold again for an expected 60 min by which time they may be closed snd I can do this again tomorrow. We deserve so much better than this
Thank you for helping me survive in this world with these human beings ever since 2010 at least economically
Times now with inflation are extremely hard everything so expensive!
But I have the great spirit to be thankful for and SSA for helping me eat, stay clean and be able to afford shelter
If you have any mental illness and are unable to work or have high anxiety make an appointment ! Like seriously if you’re medicated or you’re not medicated just turn up
They also pay for my therapy and my medication ! Good insurance!
Cause when you’re not of this world or you feel like you don’t fit in at least understanding government workers are here to make sure you don’t get eaten alive by the repitilians who wear human outfits and try to steal your soul energy and judgemental mean people who take advantage of you because you’re too slow and they see & treat you as incompetent
Do not recommend this place. The guards are so harsh and mean, Don't bother asking them anything, especially the front entrance guards, Wait times are super long, and I recommend the Mt. View SSA, P.S. I came here with my dad cause he doesn't know how to speak English and the security guards were rude to him
Great information
Ignorant judge acted like she was a medical professional and suggested that my disability was caused by hormone replacement therapy that I had been receiving for years before my disability began. Does she really think that over the many years of care, my treating endocrinologists and many other specialists (MD) somehow miraculously missed this scientifically baseless “explanation”? I had this care for many years before I began having health issues that became disabling to my day to day life.Judge also made gross comment about how pitiful it is given that I’m “so young” and did a pouty face as I left the room. ALJs should have some decorum. Sorry to say but a self proclaimed ex-junkie (look up her book) is not a medical professional.Social security is screwed up enough already, no need to use prejudiced attitudes to tip the scales against disabled people.
You call, you're on hold and they don't even answer you, they just put you on silence, you don't know if they're going to answer you or not. I've already been waiting for 25 minutes and nothing happens, very bad service or they just hung up on me without telling me anything ??
All the SSA OFFICES have closed early on 24 May at 12:00pmTime not being updated on their websites.

It was a quick process of going through to submit documents as I had a appointment booked online. But later, My SSN was not received for 3 months now and I keep calling them asking for an update. No one responds and the waiting period of the call is so long. It never gets directed to the right people. And I always end up being on call for 1 hour or more and still no information.
They take for ever to answer and I call like couple times and none answer then they hang up
"My experience at the SSA office was unfortunately marred by the initial security guard. His consistently negative attitude and unprofessional behavior created an unwelcome atmosphere. I believe the SSA could benefit from a more courteous and helpful security presence."
Thanks to Karen Rose and Josiah Alexander De La Mora. They have purchased a hacker for hire. And have hacked emails address and bank accounts thanks for the platform Josiah Alexander Delamora and your Mother Stephanie Renee Rose and jealous Juan Garcia and if anyone knows Stephanie she goes by JackO
