Hidden gem! Didn’t know about this place till I had to go to bofA in the same plaza!
Wow, everything was freshly made.
I picked up some tofu and egg platter, tofu custard made with organic soy bean, it’s so smooth. It’s under $8 for the tub. Usually is about $4 at Chinese grocery store for non organic one. I thought they would taste the same. I was wrong! The organic one is so smooth and you can taste the freshness. It has only three ingredients! Highly recommended.
Amazing food
Ovo vegetarian, so dont make assumptions.
The hot (maybe, theres no warmer) food section is great, biig portion, the dishes are very much like a Singaporean hawker stall, with fried kway teow and rice vermicelli. Price is a bit high ($17 per box of 3 dishes+carb) but the box is STUFFED and one box fed 2 hungry people.
The savory rice balls with the youtiao is delicious too.
Come if you want proper chinese vegetarian food, . I needed to ask about egg, but owner (?) said all egg usage is visible, so if something doesnt look like it's got eggs in it then its vegan, but I'd ask again just to be sure.
I visited the store and a middle-aged man who claimed to be new was working there. Unfortunately, his patronizing attitude made the experience quite uncomfortable.
I also purchased some soy milk and noticed something strange — even after sitting for several hours, there were no sediments. Typically, freshly made soy milk develops some sediment over time, so I suspected they had added some kind of binding agent or stabilizer.
When I called to ask about this, the same employee answered and was extremely defensive. He insisted that they hadn’t added anything, but it didn’t add up given the soy milk’s appearance.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and I don’t plan on going back.
I often come here to buy vegetarian items and I really like their goji berries. I usually avoid the ones made in China from regular supermarkets so I prefer getting them here. They sell them in individual bags which is convenient. Their soy milk is also pretty good and I’ll get it from time to time.
My favorite though is their rice ball with egg. Even though I’m not a vegetarian I enjoy picking up things like tofu, tofu skin, and their prepared veggie dishes. The bamboo shoots, pickled mustard, and radish chunks are all quite good. I also really like their spicy glass noodles.
UPDATE: At many Chinese prepared food stoes you'll finding human hair, bad odors, unsanitary conditions, and aggressive sales tactics (looking at you Jenny's Kitchen). But you'll find none of those things here! I greatly appreciate Sogo Tofu’s cleanliness and the polite employees who leave you alone and don't use aggressive sales tactics to pressure you to spend $100 when you only wanted a rice burrito and cup of soy milk! While prices are expensive here, they're not outrageous considering that they use organic soybeans. The quality of their food speaks for itself.
This amazing shop serves excellent Taiwanese / Chinese breakfast and lunch options. The rice burritos / fantuan (rice balls) here are delicious. The ingredients inside are unique including the vegetarian pork floss ( vegetarian pork floss ). They also have freshly made organic soy milk, which is almost impossible to find. However, I was a little concerned about hot soy milk being poured into the plastic 1/2 gallon milk containers. To the Management: please pour COLD soy milk into the plastic containers to prevent the plastic from leaching BPA, phthalates, and other toxins into the milk!
I love that they make their own fresh tofu, soy milk, bean curd, and other soy products daily here. The soy milk you get at American supermarkets is heavily processed and manufacturers try to remove as much of the natural taste of soy milk as possible. As someone who grew up drinking natural soy milk, this process has always seemed insane to me--why ruin something so delicious?
Making tofu, soy milk, bean curd, and other soy-based foods is very labor intensive, so I appreciate that Sogo Tofu is doing this in-house and keeping it organic!
Did I mention that the tofu pudding with ginger syrup is textbook Taiwanese authentic? They also make their own style of chili crisps in-house.
I love this place!
This wonderful shop serves delicious Taiwanese/Chinese breakfast and lunch options. The rice balls here are delicious. The rice on the outside of the rice balls is a bit thick, but the ingredients inside are very unique. There is no meat floss in the rice balls, but the taste is not lost. They also have fresh organic soy milk here, but I'm a little worried about the hot soy milk pouring into the 1/2 gallon plastic milk container. Note to management: Please pour cold soy milk into plastic containers to prevent plastic from leach BPA, phthalates and other toxins into organic soy milk.

Making tofu, soy milk, tofu, and other soy foods is very labor intensive, so I'm really grateful that Sogo Tofu is able to do it all himself and even make it organic!
What a great community store. I'll be back next weekend!
Bad attitude
Things are also expensive
The attitude is very bad and the things are very expensive. Soy milk doesn’t have an expiration date written on it either. Why not buy organic soy milk from the supermarket?
Its tofu curd, soy milk, sticky rice roll and radish bao are all very good. We have also tried some other dishes, which are not as impressive. But those 4 alone already worth repeated visit.
Authentic vegetarian Chinese food. They offer bento takeout for lunch.

Everything else is delicious, but the mapo tofu tastes really wrong. People around me say that their food is expensive and tastes bad.
Vegetarian Chinese breakfast food. The go to place!
Poor service:
1. I took two things to the counter but I was still hesitating to add something. When I checked out, the person didn’t ask me if it was that everything. He hurriedly said please check out. The point is that there was only one other customer in the store. Brother, who are you? What are you anxious about?
2. I used the amex card to pay. When he saw it later, he immediately reached out his hand and tried to stop the card from being swiped through. After swiping the card, he let out a big sigh and then told me very unhappily, please don’t use the American Express card to pay next time. When I asked him why, he said, “Because the handling fee is very expensive and not worth it, don’t swipe. Thank you for your cooperation.” Then why don’t you disable it, brother? This option of American Express is good, but you still want to stop me from using it? What does it have to do with me if the handling fee is expensive? You have opened a store for 20 years and still care about these few cents. I am really convinced. This attitude is so disgusting.
The food tastes bad:
The rice balls are just like that, not as delicious as the Xiaoman rice balls.
Don’t sell the bowl cakes. I’ve never tasted them so bad. They’re even a little watery. The spicy sauce is also bad. Was it made with Sriracha?
If you want to do business, be sincere, okay?

This is an incredible place. It’s been around for 20+ years and they have more fresh tofu and soy milk than any other location I’ve ever seen. Their “chicken” Tofu is incredible and that’s my favorite. I don’t have any pictures of the deli counter they have. But they do have hot food that they serve every day with about 15 options. It’s truly an incredible place and a one of a kind place.
