Michael was such a jerk he made me walk in a straight line just not to let me into Splash I felt so disrespected bc I've been to this club so many times and I frankly felt discriminated by Michael and manager Jonathan. I feel like they were so unfair and they should be replaced by kinder and nicer people bc they didn't represent Splash at all and this was the 1st night I didn't feel welcomed by this club/bar!!! I hope these people get spoken to or fired bc Splash has always been my safe place but Jonathan and Michael ruined it for me. I hope they get their bad karma. If I was so incoherent how is it that I remembered their names and wrote this review right after Michael was a jerk? I saw Splash was hiring new people but you'd assume it would be fun or kinder people, but nope. Frankly from all the years I've gone to Splash (January 17, 2026) was the worst night of my life.

I really felt people should be wearing masks in here. During the holidays, so many infections going around, I can't believe how irresponsible everyone was being. Very insensitive to folks that have a concern about their health. Really insensitive at the end of the day.

They are discriminating against foreigners. And profiling people. We had one temporary ID in our group or someone who used over 30. And they told us that they needed a physical ID so we went and got it printed out and then they did not let us in. It was quite mean and rude and I would not recommend going to this place. They only let in young people.

CHECK THEIR INSTA BEFORE COMING! Been here several times and had great experiences, but this Sunday night at 10:15pm they’re suddenly Cash only $25 cover when the last 2 Sundays I came at 11pm, there was NO cover! It’s usually only $15 - $20 cover Fridays & Saturdays. Had to go home cause I didn’t have that much cash on me and didn’t have my card on me.
Edit: I went to their insta and apparently there was a drag royalty meet and greet that day at 9pm. Dunno if she was still there when I tried to get in as there was no signage or anything said to indicate it wasn’t just a regular Sunday “Wet n’ Wild” drag show. I get you had to charge cover to book the queen, but could you at least update your website to say CASH ONLY, it’s 2025 y’all please!

The bartender refused to provide me with water when I requested it and stated that I needed to purchase it. Denying free drinking water to customers is a violation of California law. I've reported this to the county. Hope they shut this place down.

Last Monday I couldn't hear what security said and then he just yelled at me. Disrespectful. I didn't feel safe after that. And I am the only one who was searched by a metal detector. Other people complained too. Fire him or we will never come back.
I’ve been going here ever since i moved to California 4 years ago, every time i visit San Jose is just a great time coming to splash . The only Reason why i lowered the Ratings is because recently they hired a new guy at the door & he’s been very rude & a little Racist. Ps I’m not very confrontational but this time it was just needed. He didn’t allow my friend in because he didn’t have an “American ID” .

Why bother to have a web presence if it’s useless? There was no response to my query about how to see any upcoming events. Why bother to make any plans to go to a SoSo club if you don’t have any idea what to expect? In the past every time we went the place had the atmosphere of a slaughterhouse barn. If there were any other places to be they would have gone out a long time ago… San Jose is one of the worst cities for the “community” I have ever seen! Three bars/clubs in a city this size is embarrassing!!!! But you don’t want my views on that matter!!!
