Had a bad experience. Not happy. Didn't get our order right. Charged us almost $20 for 2 awful foot long sandwiches. Nasty . No cheese. Wrong bread..no meat. We ordered 6 inch Italian with provolone cheese. Nothing .

My order was wrong. I ordered a custom Steak and cheese Melt. But when I got to my work place, I opened the sandwich and they ended up giving me a regular Steak and cheese Sandwich. I realize that it was a regular steak and cheese when I opened the sandwich and there was hardly any " extra cheese " and I paid for a "Melt" as shown in pictures I upload and my concern is that a Melt cost more than a regular sandwich. So, is it possible if I can please have a refund?

I was just delivered completely unleavened, chewy bread from them. Disgusting. Shiny and stale tasting. And they close at 6PM...

I've been going to this Subway quite often and kept giving them chances because on occasion the ice machine and soda fountain would be out of service. That's very frustrating but I kept giving them more chances than they deserved. But no more. This is like the third or so time that the soda fountain and ice machine have been on the blink. I've never ever seen that at the other Subway shop. Also the last time I went, I asked for extra onions, since I don't have many of the other vegetables that are offered. I like to double up on the onions but she kind of squawked about it. You've lost a regular customer for good. The Subway franchises aren't as popular as they used to be and that's why so many are closing. So it's important to make sure you run a very good business in order to stay in business, which you don't. I'm sure this will be going out of business relatively soon and rightfully so.

Giving it a one star just solely based on the fact that they have an employee that closed the restaurant down 20 minutes before they actually close. Not only that, he laughed when I pointed at their hours and showed the time to him. Then continued to mop the floor and close up. Hope management sees this

Better english speaking skills and attitude are needed for this job. I asked three times for cheese and, due to the staff limited english speaking skills, it was probably easier to ignore me. Staff had a scowl on face and did not demonstrate conversational skills. Eventually, staff said something and put some kind of cheese on the sandwich. When I asked for spinach on both sandwiches, it was interpreted as spinach and green bell peppers on one of them.

I loved that this location is conveniently close to my home and workplace, but the service here needs some serious improvement. The first time I came in, the only woman working was on her phone with her back turned to the counter for 10 MINUTES. I said "excuse me" twice, but she still didn't turn around until she was done messing around on her phone. Even after she got off, she was horribly slow at putting together my order. Since I'm too nice for my own good, I gave this location another chance today; I put in an order online that was supposed to be ready for pickup by 10:50am. I had work at 11am and my office is across the street, so I wanted to get this sandwich for lunch. However, when I got there, my sandwich wasn't even started. I'm not sure if this was the same woman as the first time I came in, but the only woman working was also on her phone and saw me come in, but didn't greet me or come to service me until she was done on her phone. I said that I'm picking up an online order, to which she told me that she didn't receive an online order. I showed her my email receipt, she asked me to look at the register to "prove" that there weren't any orders, then lo and behold, I saw with my very own eyes my order on the screen. And she STILL tried to convince me that it wasn't there??? I had to tell her that I could see my name and order right there on the screen for her to do anything about my order. I'm a very understanding person who has also worked in food service, so I can empathize with accidentally missing an incoming online order. At that point, all that you can/should do is say sorry and make the order, not argue with the paying customers... I was lucky that it wasn't busy and my workplace is across the street, otherwise I would have been late. I really wanted to like this location, but I definitely won't be returning again. I'd much rather go to the one on the Alameda.

I would say it's more of a 3.5 star. My bf has been living here since 2015 in a studio unit, then we moved in together into a bigger unit since most of luxury buildings around are about the same price or more. The floor plans on the web does not match the actual unit, I would recommend actually look at the unit you will be moving into. We talked to the (previous) management after we moved in and realized the layout was different, they comped us a free parking spot because at the time we had 3 cars. The current management did honor it for our current lease, so that was nice. The floor plan image is still wrong on the website though. As many recent reviews has already mentioned, many things went really wrong since Essex's transition. Lots of hiccups like the trash room problems. Wrong cars repeatedly parked in my spot. People smoking in the stairways, trash left in parking lot/stairways. Most things have been solved, except the Luxor lockers (how your packages get delivered). Something goes wrong almost regularly, I'm always worried if I will be able to get my packages when I order things. I had cancelled my Blue Apron because I never get my package notice on time and all of my foods will be bad by the time I get it. I haven't used the common areas, pool/barbecue, dog park, kids playground etc so I can't say to the condition of those places now. I do see the security walking around frequently. Maintenance crew has been good. They did a parking audit and I haven't had an issue for sometime. Utility went up quite a bit and so has the rent. We moved in with a 6month lease at first then another 10 month lease, with not much rent change between the 2. We are moving out now because the rent has gone up significantly, though on the website our unit is listed as a lower price for some reason. Overall it's your typical "luxury apartment" living, bit older than some of its surroundings. Lots of conveniences, safety. You kind of get what you paid for. Holding out hope they don't gauge us after we move. Will update on that experience.

I lived here for three years and went through three property management companies and more staff than I can recall. Of these, Adriana and Woodmont were the most outstanding, responsive, and attentive. Sadly they are not the property owners/managers any longer. The most recent and current property management and owners, Essex, fail at the basics of being a landlord. I was given notice of a rent increase with an illegal amount of notice. When I politely asked for the rent increase to be pushed back by the correct number of days to ensure that they were in compliance with the law, I was given not just pushback but attitude. Further, the amount I was asking for gave *them* the benefit of the doubt... since when mailing a notice the landlord must add the correct number of days onto the notice period. They both posted on my door and mailed; I'm sure many adjudicators of the law would provide the tenant the benefit of the later of the two... but I digress. I was only asking for the sooner of the two. They tried to blame the previous owners and the way that Essex normally does things, but that does not change California law. They were unapologetic, unabashed, and rude about the situation. So I immediately pursued new accommodation. After providing notice to quit and then leaving in accordance with my lease, I then had some assistant property manager attempt to overcharge me rent for not jus the original illegal rent increase, but even further back to the beginning of the month in which that applied. It took multiple emails and an in person visit and the property manager's in-person intervention to convince this person that I didn't owe them anything. It was a maddening experience. Further, after turning over the unit and waiting the appropriate time I never received the itemized disposition of my security deposit, which is required by law. I followed up 2 months later by email and heard nothing back and never received the required documentation. These move out documents are not optional, notice periods are not optional. This isn't even inattention. It's illegal business practices. The same property management cut back on trash collection and maintenance immediately after taking over which meant trash rooms became unsanitary and inaccessible very quickly in October 2018. Reasonable trash disposal, legally compliant notice of rent increases, and itemized invoices for the use of security deposits on move out are some of the very bare basics of being a landlord or property manager, yet Meridian at Midtown and Essex failed at all of these. EDIT: Meridian has replied below but to a different review, somehow:

Jump to the bottom for the quick version. I visited a friend who is living two doors down from my old apartment. The new management has ruined this location and I can't leave my 5 star review. We visited with a friend in a wheel chair and more than one handicap spots were blocked. One with dumpsters at 10pm on a Saturday so this wasn't temporary, and two with cars with no stickers. The elevator wasn't working so we pushed her in the parking ramp which was filthy with cigarette butts in piles and trash just left along the walls. The hall carpets which were super clean when I lived there and shampooed probably weekly were stained and smelled. From the halls you could tell this was no longer luxury living. Trash was piled up in the hallways as well. Apparently management is claiming there is insufficient trash storage on site. Considering the construction and new move in trash that was generated when I was living there I know this to be untrue. In the units nothing has been upgraded or even maintained. The counter had a chunk out of the faux marble that maintenance had patched with what looked like black plaster, but had faded to look like poo and was not sanded to be smooth. Fixtures in the bathroom leaked and you could hear the sound of the toilet in the next unit needed a seal and was running and filling every 7 minutes like clock work. We grabbed mail from the mail room and there was a homeless guy just hanging out in the lobby area. Walked by what had been a gorgeous club house I had hosted entrepreneur meetups in, and it was trashed. Couch looks like it was pulled from a strip club complete with stains. The cooking area was filthy. The whole place smelled of something coming from the garbage disposal. Tiles broken. I would have been embarrassed to be seen in it let alone host something. Previously there had been an area business owners meeting that met in the room, a lupus support group that met there, and some sort of singles mixer. Now apparently it is just where people who have packed 6 roommates in a one bedroom go for extra space. I would not move there. I felt bad I had recommended the place to this friend who because of several unanswered maintenance issues is likely moving forward with legal action against the property. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Edit and short version Since management wants to claim I am lost and that things are great. This is the property across from the Safeway. It has a Starbucks in the corner. That I updated my previous review should have made it clear I knew where I was. I am seriously considering going back to take pictures. Management doesn't issue handicap "stickers" those come from the DMV and is generic for plates, plaque, or card. The elevator didn't work when I was there, and this is a recurring issue apparently as people prop the doors for hours at a time moving. That management would reach out, tell me I was wrong and deny the issues should pretty much tell you what to expect if you live there. Based on the handicap issues we faced I will also be notifying several agencies with complaints.
