From observation, this restaurant is a typo Korean sushi restaurant serving the typical sashimi, nigiri and rolls. There's a hidden menu at the restaurant that is called ahead or reserved only. They bring in live yellow farmed halibut and octopus weekly for really fresh sashimi plates. These are whole fishes only so go with at least 3 ppl. They also carry good sake to go with the sushi.

Excellent food once again. - The saba was very good. - The agedashi tofu was great. Lightly crispy on the outside and warm and silken tofu on the inside. - The chicken karaage was perfect. Crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. It came with a sweet dipping sauce the was good as well. - the baked mussels with crab were excellent. We also ordered a few rolls. The fish was fresh and tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive. Great place to go!! It was a very satisfying dinner. The owner was friendly and welcoming.

The rolls were okay, the service was good, nothing special! I ordered the Gdragon roll (bc of big bang haha)! The place was clean and wasn't busy when we came in.

The food here was really good! I enjoyed all the sushi options I ordered and you couldn't really go wrong with ordering any of the sushi options here. I had the sake here and it was really good. The service was great. We got seated fast and the waitress came by to take our order and brought out our food really quickly. She was super friendly and nice. She made our time there so enjoyable. The vibe of the place was nice as well. It gave a calming and relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely come here again!

Worst d rolls EVER! They ruin it with a bunch of spicy crap sauce smeared all over and add hot chili that burns your mouth what a waste. They even mixed fake krab with the chili sauce, wth. Then they pile a bunch of tempura waste flake on the side to make it look like a lot of food. Then they piled barf spicy tuna on the other one, ruined it so F-n hot i couldn't touch it, chili soaked all the way thru. They need to remind themselves how to make a shrimp tempura roll. Wont spend another penny on this place

Update **-1 star: the waitress said 2 rolls were super popular that day, so she recommended. Little did she know my husband can understand Korean and overheard the sushi chefs tell her to sell them specifically (maybe fish was going bad??)-1 star: waitress also asked if we wanted miso soup after we finished ordering. I had asked her if it was complimentary, she said yes. I asked for a couple and she threw in 2 extra bowls. We were charged for all of it. ($3 each). If they weren't complimentary we would've been ok without. Rolls are good. I did feel bad for the waitress, she was by herself waiting tables that busy night.

Parking was easy directly in front of the restaurant on a Tuesday evening. Loved the modern and inviting atmosphere inside, with plenty of seating available. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, made us feel like family, providing stellar service. And hardly any waits on Halloween. The food was outstanding, the gyoza crisp on the outside and filled with juicy pork, the lion king baked roll full of flavor, made of fresh ingredients and the perfect touch of sweetness. We also got the sushi & roll combo (with tuna) and mackerel, and were beyond satisfied with the quality and taste.

This is my first time here at Suro Sushi Bar & Grill , 1102 Saratoga Ave, San Jose, CA 95129.I must say the menu is very nice, easy to read, and showing clear pictures of their menu items. The kindness and attentiveness of the server were very evident upon my arrival. The restaurant was fairly large, nicely decorated, and kept very clean. I arrived at 5 PM on a Sunday, but so did everyone else, and soon the restaurant was almost full. This slowed our server down a bit, but another gentleman helped her to ensure I had great service. Most of the tables had dividers for privacy, which I really liked. Now to the food: OUTSTANDING! I had my favorites, Rainbow Roll, Vegetable Tempuru, Miso Soup, 7 piece Sashimi (Tuna, Salmon, Hamachi) and the salad. It looked just like the menu pictures, and everything was fresh and delicious. Now I've gone to Sushi places where it looked like the roll had been pre made and sat for a while. Not Here! The fish was so fresh, the rolls were stuffed well, and the taste was wonderful!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Suro

Nice modern decor. Friendly staff. Had the S-Dragon roll, Suro roll, fresh oysters, miso soup, house salad. Everything tasted good. Liked that they didn't use too much rice on the rolls.

We came here late at 3 pm and service was good. My Korean friend has the tofu soup and she say it’s authentic. The rolls was good for my standard since I am not an expert.
