My wife and I love sushi. This is a great hole in the wall spot for affordable sushi from a chef with over 20 years experience. This place is located in a small spot just off McKee rd. The food is excellent, and an extensive menu. I see some people are worried about the parking. Don't be worried. It's safe.

This will now be our go to spot for sushi.

What if I told you the best sushi in the Bay Area is hidden in plain sight… and totally affordable?

📍 Sushi Day – San Jose’s Best-Kept Secret 🍣
Located at 2044 McKee Rd, San Jose, CA 95116, Sushi Day is hands down my favorite sushi spot in the Bay Area. This hidden gem offers an impressive variety of sushi—from fresh raw cuts to perfectly baked and crispy fried rolls. Whether you're a sushi purist or someone who loves creative fusion rolls, there’s something for everyone here.

What sets Sushi Day apart isn’t just the quality (which is consistently top-notch), but also how affordable it is for the experience you get. The ingredients are always fresh, the presentation is beautiful, and the flavors are well-balanced and satisfying. The service is warm, attentive, and quick—making you feel welcomed every time.

The taste? Next level. I find myself craving their rolls constantly. I genuinely love going here, and if you’re ever in San Jose, this is a must-visit.

Tag your sushi buddy and bookmark this spot! Trust me—this is the sushi you didn’t know you were missing.

The sushi isn’t exactly top tier but the employees are very nice and hard working people. The food is a good price in my opinion and there is a nice seating area. Highly recommend the fried Jalapeños.

The sashimi was really bad. I have never had to throw out sushi before and I was truly surprised.

The fish tasted like i bought it from some random grocery store and cut it home. Definitely not something I would eat raw.

Also for some reason the sashimi pieces weren't cut properly. They were too wide and I've never seen pieces cut this way. I don't know if regular employees weren't working at the time I ordered?

For a place to pick up some quick sushi at 10 pm, it was great. The sushi was adequate and made to order.

The service was kind and very helpful.

We ordered the California roll link three ways, lol.

We also ordered the teriyaki chicken.

Be mindful that you are venturing into a hole in the wall area, so make sure you pay attention to your surroundings.

This is not dine in restaurant. But a take out place. They share the space with another restaurant. So don't expect to come in to sit & eat. Place is beaten down & looks bit shady. They have cameras for security measure however.

Sushi here is very tasty and not super expensive as well. They give you the food within ten minutes of ordering. There are plenty of options available(for various price points) and would recommend to try.

The gentleman was very nice the food was reasonably priced but the fish did not taste fresh to me. Plus it's located inside of an Indian pizza joint / liquor store.

The employees spend their time talking, they take a long time to take out the orders and very poor service.

I got the Lion King Baked Roll at under $15 and it was beyond amazing! The salmon is cooked perfectly, with its flavor combined very well with the sauce on top, the avocado and the crab meat inside. It’s something you must enjoy right out of the oven, while it’s still warm! It has 8 pieces per serving not a large portion but really worth the price.
