Sushi was ok...rice was not sticky and a bit crumbly. Other than that everything was great

Catered from here and the sushi platter, teriyaki chicken, gyoza, and edamame were fantastic! The fish was fresh and yummy and the owners were so nice that they even threw in things for us! Would 1000% come back here and recommend it highly!! Everyone loved it!

This was my first time to San Jose in search of amazing sushi and luckily my nephew found it! This was fantastic, every single role we had was delicious and fresh and extremely satisfying. I can’t wait to come back to visit him again so I can go immediately to Sushi Jae!!

Highly recommend!!

Great service. Good food. The chicken katsu is one of the most tender around. Love the crispy skin on the Saba dinner/combo. The Lion king is extraordinary, my favorite sushi roll. The chef and his wife has been such wonderful host, genuinely great people serving the community.

I can't say enough about Sushi J. The atmosphere is so relaxing, the service above and beyond, and the food is perfection. I don't want anyone else to find it because I want it all to myself lol...

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and I immediately noticed how clean and well-maintained the restaurant was—something that always makes a great first impression.

The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Every bite was a delight, from the perfectly seasoned nigiri to the creative rolls that were clearly made with care and attention to detail.

What really stood out to me was the balance of quality and value. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the level of freshness and taste. It’s clear that the owner and staff take pride in what they do, and it shows in every aspect of the dining experience.

If you’re in San Jose and craving sushi, Sushi Jae is a must-visit. The combination of a welcoming owner, a spotless environment, and delicious, fresh food makes this place a standout. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to friends and family.

Fantastic little sushi place. The outside appearance may be downright terrifying, but the inside is warm, the menus are impressive, the staff gives the friendliest service I've had in months, and the sushi was sublime. Greet the chef when you walk in 👋

Reliably delicious! Hats off to the sushi chef who has served delicious sushi time after time. The rolls are well balanced-Not too much rice. Chicken ramen is great here too! Staff is friendly and it is a family friendly establishment.

Fresh sashimi, tasty food, and good portion. Space between tables are not too close ?. The staff are nice and friendly. I would go again.

Staff is polite but foods plain bad. Worst dining experience I’ve had in recent memory

Rolls consist of an immense amount of fake crab, a tiny piece of raw fish, and doused with sticky sauces. Also keep in mind most menu items are +$5 compared to images on Google reviews

I like eating there, but we had to find another restaurant for our weekly To go order; because they "Will Not do the kids menu items To Go" for our kids!!!
Also the take home rolls are always a little sloppy and feel smaller.
Easy Parking.
