I ordered a custom cake here for a baby sprinkle. The theme was little dumpling and this place did not disappoint. Their banana cake is one of the most popular cake and it was delicious. Not too sweet with fresh bananas inside. Everyone at our party loved the cake! The lady at the counter said that the marble cake with Kahlua cream is also a popular cake so I'll be ordering that for a bridal shower soon.

The cake was super delicious!!!! You must come here. This bakery is where my family always gets their cakes. This is a video of my cousin's cake. The big cake is the chocolate strawberry and the small cake banana white cake. We loved it and we had some of their yummy cupcakes. The cupcakes are red velvet. It was the star of the sweets!!! This is my number one bakery to get my cakes and cupcakes.

I love how you can place an order online! After I placed my order online, I received a phone call the next day to confirm the order. Since I wasn't available, Blanca left a voicemail and asked for me to return her call. When I called back, she was very friendly and wanted to know how I wanted the cake decorated. I requested a white naked cake and she they did a great job! When I picked up the cake, I asked if they were able to put flowers on it. I was told that it's possible, but flowers would need to be dropped off a day in advance. I think they would have put flowers on for me the day of, but I didn't have the flowers with me and I was on a time crunch. Good to know for the future though. The banana cake was very moist and flavorful. Would love to come back to try their other cake flavors. This bakery is conveniently located near a freeway entrance and exit. Cake was a chocolate cake with amaretto fudge. SO good!! Everyone loved the cake and it fed 200 people. They did a great job.

Not sure what's the hype about this place. I ordered the banana cake with banana fillings for my daughter's birthday after reading all the reviews here. Their price seems reasonable but the quality of the cake is not. The cake was super sweet and the cream was disgusting. The ordering experience was not good too. I walked in hoping to see what design I can choose. They gave a binder with pictures of the previous cakes they have made. Most of them looks pretty bad. I think most people order the spatula or rose design. I placed the order and left the place. After I left, I had some questions and I tried to call them but no one answered and their voicemail was full so I could not leave a message. Their webpage says to email them so I did. But no reply whatsoever even after I picked up the cake. No one called a week earlier to confirm. Therefore, I do not recommend this place if you live further away since it is so difficult to communicate with them unless you walk into the shop. Also make sure you have a photo printed of what you want because I just verbally communicated that we do not want a hot pink color and prefer a lighter pink instead. We were so disappointed when we picked up the cake because the pink at the bottom layer was so light that the middle and top was just white. I blamed this on myself believing that they are professional bakers and would know how to give proper color shades to a cake. They also do not pack the cake in a box with the right size. I had to wrap it up before putting in my fridge. The parking is also very limited. Anyhow, these did not matter if the cake was good but unfortunately it's not. We definitely will not return. Bring cash or they charge extra 4% for using credit card.

I feel bad for those who have gotten bad cakes from this place and I pray it never happens to me.... Because cakes are sooooo damn expensive. I've had this place multiple times at parties and they have been a hit time after time. I wish they had small cakes so I can eat their banana cake all the time.

I contemplated for a while writing this review. For many years I've always gotten all of our cakes from SPB. All the kids parties and all special events. But I will say this will be the absolute last time. I will never return , never order any cakes for company corporate functions, or refer this place to anyone. To make a long story short my son got COVID the week of his party. I called early in the week to see if they can push out the cake to another weekend. I had already been able to move the date with the location. It was still a good 4 days away and the bakery gave me thr excuse that the cake layers were already baked and too late to cancel? My issue is, if I am paying at least a hundred dollars for a cake, it better be fresh. And 4 days out and already baked?? C'mon now...that's just unacceptable. I wasn't asking to be refunded I wanted to simply change the pickup date. 4 days away. Here's another kicker. I'm a baker as well. I understand how cake layers work. I would NEVER bake a cake 4 days out just due to quality & taste. The only way to fix a 4 day old cake is to dredge it in syrup or a cake soak. You can do that with only old cake. You get what I mean. Any OLD cake. SPB gave me one excuse after another. Plus I'm sure they could have sold the cake to someone else it was one of their most popular flavor combos. Instead they have lost thousands of dollars in profit on just one person for all my future events plus everyone at my sons party that I had a few weeks later, because I shared what SPB wasnt willing to do. I had no choice but to pick up the cake plus the cupcakes I ordered extra, lugged my sick son all the way to the East side to grab the cake that no one would be able to eat. In a household of two people and my son not feeling well a 7 layer cake that would have normally fed at least 30 became a prop for bday photos and then ended up in the trash. I'd also like to add one more thing. I did taste the cake. And the last two times I've ordered from SPB the taste and quality of the ingredients have definitely gone downhill. Even friends that have ordered from them in the past have confirmed what I thought was only me noticing the change, but it was evident for them as well. They've also stopped ordering cakes. I've followed this bakery for many many many years including their short stint in Cupertino back in the day...never again. I'm done with this place. There are so many other amazing bakeries worth the price & definitely the better customer service.C'este la vie Passion no amore..

I hadn't heard of this bakery until my surprise grad party. When I saw this cake it blew me away. The detail & elegance brought happy tears to my eyes. It tasted just as good as it looked! My favorite flavor..raspberry lemon. One of the most unforgettable days in my life. Thank you sweet passions!

I loved my little one's first birthday cake which I got from here. Overall the design did not come out as expected. But I have seen other very beautiful cakes they delivered. So it could probably be because of the reference pictures and modification ideas we gave and the gap in understanding that clearly. But taste wise it was YUM. I have not had such a good cake in the recent past. Many of our guests also commented about the taste. Their cakes are huge, and can normally feed more people than what it's ordered for and still we almost finished the cake with many going for second servings. I should say the taste factor helped us overlook the design faults. Our order was a banana cake with banana filling. I will definitely order again from them but probably stick with one of the designs from their catalog.

I've always order cake from this place since 2010 last Saturday I order my son 8 birthday banana cake from there and it was bad can't even taste the cake and it was nothing but thick banana cream on it the cake was pricy and did a bad job with it

After reading the reviews on this Bakery, it has made me think twice about ordering a cake from you. Policy's are policy's but to not be sympathetic about a family member in the hospital and giving them a refund or a credit for another occasion is really bad business. I was excited about ordering a cake from you, but reviews mean a lot and how you treat your customers. Your customers are what is keeping you open, feeding your family and to be treated that way makes me think it's better to go elsewhere.
