Went there with my family. Place was dirty. Order a margarita and it was watered down so I ask for it to be remade the second was worse it the cup was even dirty with some red stuff. Rice and beans that came with my plate were cold and guacamole was brown. My plate came with steak it was so small the nopal was bigger. Steak was sour and tasted like fish. The rest of the food was terrible as well I don’t have enough space for everything. The waiter never came to ask if we needed anything and not because it was busy (there were only 3 other tables being served). It was just a bad experience don’t waste your time and money at this place.

YES YES YES !!! I've been too wayy to many Mexican restaurants. This one is it!!! Great food, awesome music ?, and best in house drinks ? 10/10 would recommend. Prices are very reasonable here as well

Very nice people who are willing to serve you well.I'm glad me and my family ate here. The environment is so friendly and so is the music playing while you eat and there's many big tvs for sports and the food was delicious.

It wasn't bad, it wasn't great. I'd say pretty average food. Went before a concert, looks like they're more geared for the night life, with the stage and lights. I'd return. Maybe even go to dance.

Was looking for a new Mexican food place after my old one retired. Tacos a carbon is what I was looking for. Food is great,Atmosphere excellent, Mariachi was a nice touch, only on Sundays after 3:00PM. Try it for yourselves.

Means food, and we sit outside the music super high and I’m aproaching to the waiters and request a table, and they send me a new waitress and take so long for but the guys to the band they offer food and service to them so quickly.Bad experience.And when we want to talk to the manager or ownerNever ever be there.

Delicious as always. Great ambiance, very good service, great food, and the mariachi playing in the background. What else can I ask for? I have been coming to Tacos al Carbón for more than 20 years, and it was and is a bastion of Mexican food in San Jose. I couldn't decide between Carne Asada and Seafood. So I had an Azteca Plate and had a side of a Filete de Pescado Empanizado (Breaded Fish Fillet). It was memorable! Can't say enough of how much I like this place. Absolutely recommended.

Ambiance is very festive, staff very friendly & attentive. Definitely will be returning to try the mariscada. Smelled & looked so delicious, I devoured the tacos before I thought of taking pictures. ?
