This food used to be bomb the carnitas quesadilla used to be full of carnitas , but we went today and the tortillas was real think and hardly no carnitas like it used to be and now the quesadillas cost $18and they used to be worth it but not anymore, I will not be visiting here for awhile.

Still my favorite late-night food truck burrito. The price is now $14 for a carne asada super burrito w/everything. If you love it very spicy, I recommend getting their hottest salsa which is a creamy orange color. Its as spicy as possible while still being enjoyable on the food.

Used to love this place! Now the food takes like an hour to be ready and the owner armando, usually the one taking orders, is super rude and charges even more if you want something extra. I ordered a quesadilla and it wasn't even fully cooked. This is the last time i purchase from here do not waste your money here ! No vale la pena esperar ni pagar tanto dinero por este tipo de comida !

PÉSIMO SERVICIO! Tardaron casi una hora en darnos nuestra comida y no había nadie. La comida estaba seca y sin sabor.

Whenever you go to this food truck, order all the tacos you can eat. The meat on the tacos are hands down the best meat for tacos.

This place means comfort food. The place smells like straight up carnitas, it tastes like being in the market in Michoacán. The meat was tender. I will return he

The best quesadillas in San José! I love going to this place to eat! The carnitas they sell are the best I've tried!

100%!!! Solid food! Now when I want Mexican food, this is the only place I come to. A friend wanted Mexican food from somewhere else, and I said let me go get food from this taco truck. I think he's converted now LOL. Eat the spicy orange sauce at your own risk!

We always come here for the enchilada plate cuz the serving is huge! Also ordered the flautas. The red sauce is also really spicy I wish I had more details as to when this place is open because sometimes when we look for this truck it's not there

This was the second time going here for their asada burrito. It was just as good as the first time buying one. This time I weighed the burrito and it was 32oz or 2 pounds! Where else can you get a 2 lb. burrito for $12?

Came here on a Friday night and you can smell the truck from quite a ways away! I came at 10pm and things were chill (two people ahead of us), but we juuust beat the line because at 10:15, the line went down past the length of the truck! Everyone seemed to be coming from a nearby event. The parking is plenty at night right by the Home Depot area. There is outdoor seating under tents right next to the truck. We waited half an hour for our tacos. The cashier was so nice; we were short a few cents and she didn't charge us. Got seven tacos for a bit over $20. There's no prices displayed on the truck. It cracked me up how they taped a mask over the picture on the truck, and it was also funny how you can see the orders being entered to cook by looking at an iMessage screen on their big TV. I got the lengua and the tripa~ Tripas: SOOO good! I've had tripas from other places and this truck doesn't cut them down as much. It had some long pieces of tripas. Lengua: Delicious! The lengua was soft and chewy, and I got it as a contrast to my crispy tripas. The flavoring of this spot is BOMB. While tacos are just meat, cilantro, onions, lime and some sauce, I feel like Carnitas Huandacareo does simplicity really well. There's an array of other foods besides tacos too like quesedillas, tortas, and more! All of the sauces were BOMB. Be sure to ask for more! Their orange sauce is thick and not too roasted. All sauces were adequately spicy. I think the long wait was totally worth it and I definitely want to try the other items on their menu!

This place is okay. The carnitas with skin is enjoyable. One of the best tacos in terms of carnitas, but it's not like it's my favorite. The asada and pastor here is meh. I'm not coming back just to get carnitas. The carnitas is also a bit salty. I've tried this place twice now and I'm not coming back soon.

My husband and I have been stopping by for a few months now. At this point, we have tried the enchiladas which are great. We've had the burrito which we enjoy. We have also ate the quesadillas and the tacos. Today, we ordered a burrito and a cóctel de camarón. This is the first time that we did not enjoy our food from here. Don't get me wrong the burrito is good. However, the cóctel de camarón tasted like pure ketchup. The soup itself was thick and we knew right away that it wasn't going to be edible. My husband tried fixing it at home, but sadly it tasted like the cooks put pure sugar. The soup did not taste like the shrimp or the sea. It tasted like tomatoe paste. In the end, my husband ate the cracker and the shrimp. He had to let the rest go. We recommend this place but just be careful with the cocktail shrimp.
