I bought a roasted duck today and then found 1/3 of the chopped pieces are old and bad ones. Rest seem ok. Apparently they mixed in some bad pieces. Dishonest business, will never buy anything there again.

What a dishonest business here. I bought a whole roasted duck here today. When I got home and found out two whole duck legs were missing! I had bought roasted ducks here before many times. There were a few times I noticed the portions were significantly less than normal. But I had no proof and trusted the business there. But this time, it's too obvious. Not just missing two legs, also one of the wings was missing. They are thieves!!!. Will not go there again.

I thought I would give this place a try again after many years of avoiding it. They have not changed. The dim sum here is not good. It tastes funny and the sesame balls with sweet black bean tasted a day old. The kicker was that the lady shortchanged me $10 as I gave her $100 bill. Did not notice until I got home. BTW, I am Cantonese and grew up in SF, so I know what good dim sum tastes like. Better option is to go to New Hwong Kok on White Road. The nice lady there never cheated me and their dim sum is always fresh and good. Never will I ever, ever go to Taipan again.

Best BBQ spot in SJ for sure! I come here all the time to get their Xa Xiu (BBQ Pork) and I'm never disappointed. Their roasted pork and roasted duck are spot on too! The prices are reasonable considering how tasty everything is, and I haven't been let down by the sizes of their duck yet! Everyone here speaks either Cantonese or Vietnamese, and the woman working the register speaks English. The people that are complaining about the service must not be used to how things work at most authentic Asian restaurants and food spots. The food is the focus! They're almost always busy here so they're trying to be as efficient as possible. If you're looking for great BBQ, this is the spot to be at.

This is probably the worst BBQ place in San Jose. Freaking long line and they don't care how to improve or service better. The employees in the department are useless. What a waste of time to get in line for the services!!!!!!

Dimsum on pushcarts is getting expensive at the restaurants, and so we often go to this dim sum bakery to have our craving fix for a reasonable price. For years, this location was our go-to spot for the bbq pork, soy sauce, chicken, and classic dimsum dishes. And it seems it is still a go-to for many people because lines here can get pretty long, especially on the weekends. For efficiency, there's two separate lines in front of the two separate doors, 1) dim sum only, 2) bbq only. What happens if you want both? The quality of the food just isn't the same anymore. The dumpling shells and shrimp crepes are thick and doughy. The shrimp balls are massive, but they too feel doughy. The fried chicken was good but only good when it was hot and crispy. It got cold and soft quickly, and was very oily.

A great place to get your Chinese BBQ meats like roast duck, roast pork, bbq pork, soy sauce chicken, beef innards, pork innards, etc. Always a long line of people, so plan accordingly. I have not tried the rice plates yet, but I do like the roast duck and roast pork. The dim sum is ok, but it will satisfy your itch for dim sum without having to get to a sit-down restaurant or ordering take out.

there's no option for 0 stars so they're only getting one because of lack of options. very bad experience, all dim sum and food and was cold and old and still try to sell me chicken wings that clearly have been sitting there for hours. we went to the other side with bbq duck and was rudely ignored. 20 minutes later I have my chance to order #7 two items over rice. I asked for duck and bbq ribs over rice. the man reached for the duck and starts cutting and then went under the table literally grabbing garbage(bbq ribs) and throws it on the counter. the lady next to him refuses to give me a fresh piece cause I only ordered 2 items. we spent nearly $100 in there and came out with a plate and 4 items. food was terrible. never going back again

I feel like the people complaining about the service have never been to the dimsum bakeries in SF the people working there are there to sell you dimsum items without fuss, and they get your order to you efficiently for a great price! Even if you don't speak Chinese, it's no problem to communicate what items you want. They have a variety of classic dimsum bakery items and weren't sold out of anything I wanted when I visited on a Sunday afternoon. There isn't anywhere to sit inside, which is common for a bakery. Every dish was tasty and filling, and the buns were full of delicious meat! They even had more unique items, like the eggplant shrimp. Importantly, there was barely any wait even at a popular time like Sunday brunch. Overall, everything was delicious, and this will be my new go-to spot for dimsum to go in the South Bay!
