We only had two people and wanted to sit at the corner booth table for lunch, but one do the big family staff said it’s reserved for a “larger group”… which is hilarious cuz there were still some booth tables available about 12:30ish. I don’t know why they expected there will still be “large group” coming in about 1pm on Friday?!
When we decided to leave, he gave us the attitude like “take it or leave it”.
The wonton soup is very good. D12 Kung pao chicken rice, D16 Popcorn chicken rice, and E7 sesame sauce with dried noodles are amazing!
Way too expensive, every main dish is minimum 15!!???! and the size was not really all that big. The water was literally served in plastic cups, so this clearly isn’t any high class dining that should be costing this much lol.
The sparerib noodle soup (noodles were not that soft nor chewy) tasted alright, but I’m feeling kind of sick after…. The spicy wonton does not taste like the delicious ones i’ve had in other restaurants and in Taiwan. the popcorn chicken is mediocre.
The atmosphere is horrendous. There is neon green signs on every wall saying NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK (or you will be charged corkage fee). and plenty of other rules about required tip and all party must be present to be seated. Not to mention the TV was playing a weird snake video while i was eating 🤢🥴
The bathroom is super clean, but only because i used it immediately after it was cleaned. smelled like cleaning products. The butt gasket was all messed up. I think someone restocked the gaskets by shoving it back into the container….. And GUESS WHAT else was in the bathroom… MORE SIGNS WITH THE RESTAURANT RULES.

The wonton soup is delicious and heavily seasoned with white pepper. Some people may not like it, but I love white pepper!
I heard that this store opened in Hualien, Taiwan from the United States. I had eaten at the Hualien store before and thought it was opened in Hualien first. I didn’t expect that now that the Hualien store has closed down, the American store is still there.
Thank you for having authentic Taiwanese snacks in such a close place. Thank you for your hard work, I will definitely visit often!
By the way, dry noodles are delicious too?

First time here and really enjoyed the wonton soup. Also ordered the popcorn chicken rice dish. I will visit again soon.

Ordered pork rice:
It's so delicious that I will definitely come back. The meat is super soft and rotten. When you take a bite, you can tell that it has been stewed for a long time.
The rice? is topped with braised pork gravy, which is actually braised pork rice. It is salty and delicious. Served with braised eggs and cabbage and broccoli.
Flat food:
Recommendation, I ordered the pork rice + small flat rice. The flat rice is quite big and has four pieces. It is quite generous with the pork rice. The green onion and sesame oil inside is very fragrant. The meat of the flat rice is very solid and well seasoned. It will be delicious when paired with celery. It has a crunchy texture and is very nice?

Beef noodle soup is the closest thing to what I had in Taiwan. I ask for them to pour mild broth in there because I can't handle the original spiciness and it's perfect. They pack it separately so it's great for takeout. Though I feel guilty about all the disposable packaging. But it keeps the noodles from getting too soggy.

The wonton soup is really good.
The sauce for The spicy chili dry wonton tastes like black pepper sauce with lots of green bean spouts on the bottom. It’s also good.
The sweet rice is too soggy and the pork on top is too dry and the sauce is too sweet.
The Taiwanese sandwich is pretty big. The pork inside is too dry, too.
The fried spare rib soup is so far from expectations. Usually the fried spare ribs are stewed until they are all softened up, but here it is more like fried spare ribs in hot water.
The green onion pancake is OK, but mixture of soy sauce does give it a good flavor.
The fried squid is crispy, but the batter is a bit too thick.
The chicken broccoli rice plate meets the expectations!!
After we finished, we asked to pack up the left over. They brought the containers for the dry food and offered to pack the soup for us. We thought it’s a kind gesture but when we got home, we found out the soup is half of what was leftover. Don’t know why they kept parts of our leftover…

Love it! Had the combo plate with popcorn chicken (because I’d be basic like that). It was filling and delicious! Definitely a nice lunch spot. The combo also comes with a wonton soup, which is SO nice to have before my meal.

It's delicious, but the downside is that it's too expensive
There were some dishes that were good but some that were forgettable. My noodles were overcooked but the spicy wontons were great and packed a spicy wallop. Service is slipshod. I wouldn't come back.
