The last 2 times we've been here we've had to wait about 40 minutes for food due to some mix up. Today our food was given to the wrong person and they lost our ticket. The food, however, is really good as well as the drinks.
We came here because there was a 45 minutes wait at Boiling Crab. The place was almost empty with plenty of seating. We ordered a few drinks and a popcorn chicken while we waited for Boiling Crab. The popcorn chicken was OK. It needed more red powder. I wish they had the chili powder and/or salt and pepper available at the utensils station. As for drinks, they were decent. My milk tea could have used a more fragrant tea. They play Vietnamese music videos on the TV. Haha. Maybe...
There's a Tapioca Express a block from where I'm staying. I go to this one instead. Their drinks are excellent and the boba well made. I highly recommend their house special drink - a hazelnut almond mocha coffee ice blended with boba. If I were to stay up in San Jose again for an extended period of time, I would sign up to work there just so I could figure out out how they make it. Would also recommend their yogurt drinks.
