The restaurant is a hole in the wall with decent amount of space for chairs, but there was nobody at the counter for about 10 minutes. The chairs were straight back and hard to seat in it After entering they only had two people staffed and it took him longer to get the food out to us that it should’ve.The Food itself tasted not as great as it looked. The chicken was better than the beef. But not by muchThey didn’t have their own picture of waters to refill cups. Had to buy water bottles if you wanted water.Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a ramp

There was nothing special about the food so you can remember for the next time or refer to a friend. As Iranians in our short stay in Bay area, we enjoyed lots of delicious Mediterranean and middle eastern food except this one. Other places kept the good attitude even in their busy hours. However, we had to wait 15 min for the guy to come out of the kitchen and not responding to our greeting. While we were waiting for our food, we saw him yelling at a DoorDash guy. When our food was ready, he almost threw our plates on the table. The worst behavior we’ve ever experienced. With a bit of chill pill he might be able to manage his anger. But, attitude and politeness take more than that. He didn’t deserve any tip, and we skipped that part.

Went here for the first time today, and when we walked in, it felt like a small restaurant in Shomal (northern Iran) .It is very clean . The food came out pretty quickly ,considering it's persian food that takes a while to grill. We ordered #12 koobedeh and chicken kabab with rice ,tomatoes, and Shirazi salad. It was FANTASTIC!! Melted in our mouths. Doen side : They can be more enthusiastic with their customer service and do better.I will definitely try their other dishes next time and recommend you guys try this diamond in the ruff out. Quoting Haamed ,"Once you try our food, you will know how good the rest is. Our food speaks for itself. "

I discovered Taste of Persia on doordash one night and decided to order the special number 3 which had a combination of three different types of meat/cut. It was sooo good, my boyfriend and I decided to order it again for dinner the day after! We opted for the special number 5 tray the second night along with mast khiyar. The family trays are awesome and have plenty of basmati rice, hella meat, delicious vinegar onion, and juicy roasted tomatoes. Out of the two trays we tried, we definitely enjoyed the special number 5 which is the chicken thigh tray. The chicken thigh is the most juiciest thing I've ever had. You can honestly share the family tray with 3 people, but it was so good we killed it for dinner. I love this small hole-in-the way restaurant already! Since we've always doordashed/order for pick up, there's not much I can say for service. Food is delicious regardless!

We had just heard about the new place on Instagram ads and we stopped by there to try the food quality for the future. So we just got one koobideh and chicken (joojeh) kabob combo. I liked the koobideh very much, it was tasting very good and soft kabob, the chicken kabob was tasting good as well, though a little bit firm (maybe over cooked), it could be cooked a little bit juicier. Still we liked the food over there.Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of the dish in the beginning. But I also liked the food presentation.

We were craving for tasty Persian but didn't want to drive a 70 mile round trip to Shalizaar in Belmont from San Jose. I've been here 3 times and now this was my 4th and feel compelled to sing the praises of Taste of Persia as I really want them to thrive and become one of the most popular restaurants in San Jose. I walked in and it was empty, perhaps because most people order to go. Let me tell you every bite of their Koubideh and chicken kebabs and rice with grilled tomatoes is succulent, seasoned to perfection and juicy delicious and bursting with Persian goodness! Trust Ahmad and his team to prepare your food with love!

Excellent kabob, both chicken and beef were excellent. It was seasoned perfectly but I wanted some more aromatics. It was $43 for our special tray #3 which came with chicken thigh, chicken breast, and beef koobideh. Will definitely come back for kabobs!

I was pleasantly surprised by my meal at Taste of Persia SJ. We ordered Tray #3 for the 2 of us. It came with 2 sides of basmati rice, sumac dusted onions, 6 grilled tomato halves, chicken thigh kabob, chicken breast kabob, and a beef koobideh for $43. This was definitely enough food for 2 people. Overall, I heartily enjoyed my meal. The meat and rice were cooked to perfection. The meat was juicy and seasoned well, it was particularly good with onion and a squeeze of lemon. We always enjoy eating the charred tomatoes. While the meat was seasoned and savory enough, I wanted some more aromatics. An extra dusting of sumac would have been nice. I also desired more onions and greens with my meal. I'll likely request extra onion and order some shiraz salad. The service was fine and ambiance of the restaurant isn't extremely inviting, but the food is definitely worth returning for.

Gained 3 stars because the tomato was cooked perfectly, cashier was chill, and the rice was buttery and really tasty. Place was empty which should have told me most folks aren't ready to cash out here given their elevated prices. Unfortunately, the meat was overly cooked and dried out. It looked suspiciously close to skirt steak btw. See pic below and you be the judge. It cost me a whopping $37 for a plate with 2 kebabs, (mind you, one of them was ground beef with spices and one was supposed to be filet minion)...some rice and a tomato. I hate giving bad reviews but the price just makes you think you are going to get something better than just so-so, at best. Drop the price, don't dry out the meat, and you will attract many more customers.

This place is crazy good!! The meat was cooked to perfection, along with the rice and veggies. It was a pleasant surprise for someone who doesn't know much about Persian food. I highly recommend take out or dine-in. The only draw back is there are not that many beverage options.

I discovered this place just by driving down the street. Food is absolutely delicious!! My boys are picky eaters and they loved it. I will definitely be going there again. They also have "family meals" which are very economical. So we got 3 meals in 1 and saved $$$. (it's Halal)
