Came in on a Sunday 2/15/25 around 5:30pm. Food always hits the spot! Service on the other hand is inconsistent. The girls who work in the front are always very attentive and polite, which is especially appreciated since it was busy. Although, whoever was bringing out the food was rude, didn't acknowledge us at all even when we kept saying thank you but that might be because he has airpods in while working. He also did not use kitchen safety words while bringing out hot soup and we almost ran into him.

They have a pay by the pound option here where you can pick what to put into the hot pot and your soup base. This is perfect for people with allergies or people who like certain things to eat.
I didn’t get her name but she was extremely helpful last night at around 8:30 when I came in. She suggested this option to me and I am truly grateful for her!

Below average to my taste. My pot was $24 which is expensive. There's a lot better options in my opinion. I won't be coming back but doesn't mean you can't try it out for yourself. They had a full house so people like it. Just not my taste. The Mala yakatori and the fried Calamari was good. I wouldn't get the milk tea there though. Our waitress was great! She went above and beyond.

I’ve been here for 7 years and so much has changed. I go to Tasty pot every Sunday. There used to be an order area/kitchen behind the chalk tagging board area. And I always see the worker up front every Sunday. It used to be bad in the past, but it’s fine now. Don’t use the new 2024 Claw Machine, it’s a scam ?.

The food and service are excellent, but management please update your tables and chairs. The restroom is clean but can use a remodel as well.
Bad service, I ordered a beef hot pot with instant noodles, took 30 minutes for them to bring the pot, they forgot to bring the noodles, I asked them for it but they still didn't bring it. Very disappointed, never come back again.

I have to say the food is over average!! However, not the first time came here and found out the room temperature was quite high….. checked with the staff, they mentioned the AC is on but not really able to lower the temperature
This is one of my favorite and usual restaurant, wish the owner can fix the issue. This is the hot pot place, but if the AC is not working well during summer time….is not quite friendly to the customer….especially when outdoor temperature is almost 100 degrees …
I would love to raise it back to 5 stars if this issue can be fixed.

I recently visited Tasty Pot in San Jose and tried their Red Lobster Tasty Pot. The flavors were delightful, and the dish was quite enjoyable. However, I found it challenging to peel off the lobster's skin, which slightly affected the experience. Despite this, the service was excellent, with the staff being attentive and friendly. Overall, it was a good dining experience, and I would recommend giving it a try.
