We visited this restaurant for an anniversary dinner on a weekday, and it was surprisingly quiet. We were treated exceptionally well and were presented with a variety of meats, some of which were prepared to our preferences. I can't express how grateful we are to our server, Lays. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the food and took the time to seat us in a comfortable location. Her attentive service made our evening truly special. The gauchos were also very friendly and dedicated to ensuring we had a wonderful time. My significant other enjoys well-done meat, and it was always cooked to perfection after we requested it. The interior of the restaurant was spotless, and the music was kept at a pleasant volume. The ambiance they created was truly unique. We will definitely be returning to this place in the future. Thank you again, Lays, for making our anniversary dinner so memorable. The food was an absolute 11/10, and the service was a solid 10/10!

Went in around 6pm on a Wednesday, no problems with free street parking. And was immediately seated, called for reservations but many seats appeared available at that time regarless.

Food was lovely, my favorites were the pork loin with parmesan, cheese bread, beef ribs, fried plantain, picanha and grilled pineapple.

Service was top notch, was constantly checked on to see if the food was ok, any additional drink needs and the meats presented were very fast for the buffet.

Atmosphere was good, the place was great for group conversations l. Not noisy at all and great to relax at.

Giving a 1 star review because of what I saw about this place, disgusting and shameful behavior of you giving a large party gratitude to only 3 PEOPLE and shaming them into paying more.

Reas your receipts as this place scams you into double tipping up to 40%!

I want to warn anyone that eats here. This place is disgusting. The wait staff are rude, the food is mid, and it's way over priced. There are alot of other Brazilian steakhouses you can give your money to.

AVOID THIS PLACE.

Very over priced for what you get

Came with 3 other people and got charged 20% gratuity as if I was with a group of six. Got publicly shamed for not tipping additionally. SCAM

My first and last time I'm going to this place. First, the noise level is crazy for they cramped all tables so close to each other. Second, the meat service is inefficient because it takes 10 - 15 minutes for the next meat to get offered even with the “go” sign-on. Third, they made the excuse that their oven was not working making them not serve us with the complimentary cheese bread and plantains, where all other tables even empty ones have it. Fourth, all their lights keep on flickering every 2 minutes it feels like someone will have a seizure because of it. The ambiance is horrible. I've been to most Brazilian steakhouses in San Jose and so far this is the worst. Never again. I highly suggest Fogo de Chao than this one.

We left the place hungry. We had to wait 30 minutes for plates and for someone to take our drinks order. They stuffed more tables than the place can take. You feel that other people are sitting in your table (I think the number of people were more than the maximum occupancy specified by the fire department). I am not sure if they did this only for Valentine's (i came for Valentine's)? Or it's usually that way. They brought alot of folding tables. The waitress couldn't keep up and by the time the person serving the meat reachs our table they won't have anything left, few time they only had one piece so one of us would get a piece. I usually frequent other Brazilian steak houses and i never seen something this bad.

We have dined at Taurinus many times and it is our favorite Brazilian steakhouse in the area; but our experience on 2/14/2025 did not meet Taurinus' usual quality. We understand that it was Valentine's Day, but we have dined at Taurinus on Valentine's day previously without issue. The service at our table was quite slow. We had gone to the salad bar and nearly finished eating our salads and still no meats had been brought to our table. We had to request for meats be brought to the table. The servers passed by our table multiple times without stopping. Finally the quality of meats were not to the usual Taurinus standard. For example, both ribeye and tri-tip are premium cuts and both were full grizzle and tough. We have not signed off on Taurinus, as anyone can have an off night. Taurinus is still our favorite Brazilian Steakhouse in the area and hope this criticism is taken in the context from someone that enjoys dining in your restaurant and would hate to see the food or service decline.

Went for Valentine's Day dinner with my wife. We luckily got a table not shared by another couple. A lot of the 2 person tables are push together. Which is ok for a party of 4 but not if you planned on a more intimate dining experience. The food was ok but Fogo de Chao and Espestus are significantly better. The main reason we would never go back again is because my wife and I got charged a service fee of 20% of the bill for a "large party." The description on the dinner check was "6 or more people." I pointed it out to the staff and they apologized and said they would remove. However, the credit slip came back with the amount with the 20% as an authorized charge. I left it and just didn't tip because it was not worth the effort and we just wanted to leave at that point.

It was nice. Small table. I felt the selections were less than other places I've been. The salad bar wasn't much that I wanted and the hot food station options were not desired either, white rice, tilapia and a couple other side dishes I wasn't interested in. The meat that was served was excellent - every piece was mouth watering.... their signature drinks were also amazing. I definitely got my fill and for the price you should. It was nice but there are other places closer to home I'll go to for a little cheaper with more options I like. It was Valentine's Day and my honey is a Taurus so I thought it would be cute to dine there.

service has degraded over the years. the carvers (with steaks) would pass our tables multiple times.

Was informed in midst of dining that restaurant was closing at 830 and no waiters had come out with more meats and food after 810pm leaving us hungry when leaving the restaurant. Really expected more for the price tag of $250 for two people. Will consider other steakhouses in the future . Staff was very uniformed some what disappointing

The food was really good and they offer me a fifty percent off for my portion, which is very nice of them. Highly recommend!
