the menu has been extremely pared down to what's advertised on yelp, and what's on the front menu billboard. service is good but again, we tried to order 3 different things buuuut they were out or no longer making those drinks.

VERY bizarre experience coming in here the other day. I think they're extremely down on hard times, but the environment could not have been worse... The windows were boarded up due to thefts, there was zero music playing and the two employees were sitting in dead silence; the TVs were off, the fan was off. There was nobody else in there, so I ordered a simple BMT with boba and took it to go because the ambiance was too depressing. The tea itself was incredibly bland and the tiniest bit chemically, as if there was sanitizer in the cup... I threw it out after a few sips. I hope their luck improves but as it stands, the hostile evironment + shaky drink quality is not a winning combo.

This is a small yet cute boba shop in downtown San Jose. Boba drinks are good. I usually order them with 25% sugar here. But I'd pass on the food. Service is pretty good for a boba shop.

Ordered a Scoop O Mango drink with less sweetness off of Grubhub. The flavor of the drink is good! It's a good combination of milky and fruity with a creamy yet slushy-like texture. I personally think it's too sweet even though I ordered "less sweet." Also, slightly misleading that the online description and image shows the drink comes with mango ice cream but I got strawberry instead. Good thing I still enjoy strawberry ice cream! One last thing is that they were a little skimpish with the drink itself; once it was all shaken up, there was a large empty space filled with no drink at the top :(. At least they were generous with the mango jelly topping!

I went to Tea Villa for the Scoop O Strawberry. Looked really pretty and also tasted really good. However I do recommend turning the sweeteners level on the drink. I love sweets but it's also a little bit too much even for me. Overran it was a really good drink!

Nice staff, great drinks, just a tricky location with the VTA station

I ordered the milk brûlée for $5.50. It tasted ok but there was lots of ice. They don't ask you about sweetness or ice level so just pay attention to that. Also, It has a bit of a weird vibe when you go in the store, not sure what it is.

Very unorganized . Messed up the drinks three times and very slow working . Took 30 minutes to get six drinks

The flavors were good. The tea was fresh, but the pearls were soggy and we couldn't get them up the straw. They were either stored too long or boiled too long. Our straw got constantly stuck with pearls because they were gooey. Please learn how to cook the pearls correctly.

Tea Villa is a small boba shop off to the side in downtown San Jose. Parking is street parking or in the parking garage/parking lots nearby. They are simple, but modern looking - they usually have a classic movie playing on their TVs when you walk in (last time I came, it was Mulan). I ordered a jasmine milk tea with boba - they ran out of boba, so I substituted it with crystal boba. The milk tea tasted more like a sweet cream milk, not much tea taste to it. I ordered the drink with 50% sweetness and it was kind of on the sweeter side with a syrupy aftertaste. To be honest, the white boba kind of throws off the taste of the milk tea.
