Have not been here in 5+ years. Still a great place in downtown San Jose and close to everything.
Can't get more german that this in the US! I've been here 5 times now and I will. be back!
The Pork and Veal Chop were very good. Some of the sides had a bit more vinegar taste then we like.
The food was fantastic and Scott was great! As authentic German as it gets! I would definitely come back. Amazing atmosphere as well.
Great beer selection, attentive servers, and a fun atmosphere! We’ll definitely be back!

Our family loves Teske's : the food , the service, great beer and the atmosphere. Live music events are the best!
Clearly a beloved local establishment. We've been here many times in the past two years and it has a charm that keeps us coming back. The food is fairly good, consistent and well priced. Portions are generous and much of the staff have been with the restaurant for a long time. They celebrate Oktoberfest when it's the season for it, and it's very a fun vibe with live music and dancing.

Authentic German restaurant with delicious classic pork shanks. It has a well-decorated bar as well. Do try out the Sachertorte dessert.

Decent food but extremely rude manager.
Great food and wonderful genuine beer from Germany served in a very friendly environment. One of our favorite restaurants!

I've been here several times, and the food is as authentic as you can get, outside of visiting Germany.
The pork shank is delicious. Beer is also good with lots of choices. Price is a little on the high side. You don't have much choices if you want veggies. There's almost none.😉 You have to park on the street and at certain times it may not be easy.

Excellent beer and German food. The unique ambiance and incredible service made the night special. Highly recommend!
I Travel this country and look for German restaurants. I spent 3 years in Germany and really enjoy Jagerschnitzel and had my mouth set on it. The purple cabbage was on point as well as the potato salad. The Jagerschnitzel however must have been leftover from two days earlier and flashed in the pan to just warm it up. The gravy had a very funky taste to it as well i think it was missing the sour cream. The Spatzle was also on point, however, the gravy destroyed it. Beautiful place and the service was wonderful, the bartender was on point and insisted that he get me a new piece of meat. The second piece was not over cooked, so it came down to the gravy in the end.

The sauerkraut is very good. The pork chop is excellent but the closer you get to the bone the dryer it is. However, that service is excellent, their beer selection is very good and overall a great meal.
