The food was far below par. A great disappointment. There are too many good German places in the Bay Area cooking far superior to this restaurant. They should get with the times. Ironically, the service was excellent. Avoid this place.

I've been eating here for over 40 years. Never once had a bad experience. The food is good. The staff is so nice. The restaurant itself has an authentic charm. And the music is fantastic.

Great beer , delicious food, fabulous service and yummy desserts. Our favorite German restaurant.

The Best German - and I mean authentic, not the "Wurst and Schnitzel" type - in a fantastic atmosphere, right out of Germany. Great Cuisine, Service, Fun. This is both a neighborhood place and a destitution restaurant. Cozy Bar and fun Biergarten. Don't miss it!

We celebrated our son's birthday there last night and had a wonderful time! Always enjoy Teske's, it's a great experience every time!

Five stars might seem high but I can't think of anything which would necessitate a lower rating. In a world of modern concept restaurants, this is OG. There is a bar area, two dining rooms and a beer garden, each with their own ambience. There is a good selection of German beers and menu items. Portions are generous and reasonably priced. The service was everything I expect. This is place to go if you are looking for something a little different.

Always a great time at Teske's. The food is always enjoyable and the drinks traditional :) While some may think it is expensive you must remember the food, the atmosphere, the heritage is all unique to what you get at other places. I truly enjoy Teske's everytime!

Teske's Germania is a terrific restaurant. The food is great. And it's a pretty restaurant. This is an authentic German restaurant and you'll get all the classic dishes made extremely well. The appetizers were delicious. The potato pancakes with apple sauce was just perfect. And they give you big portions on the plate. The brussel sprouts were amazing, and they could also be a great side dish with the entrees. Don't miss the schweinshaxe. This is amazing.! Make sure you go to Teske's with a healthy appetite because you will eat well there. And for such fine food, it's quite reasonably priced. The apple strudel for dessert is their classic serving it for the over forty years and its great. Teske's has been around over forty years in the same place. The current ownership is keeping true with the original cuisine of this restaurant and maybe it's only getting better! Next time we have to try the Black Forest cake. .

Always a good place, no matter the occasion or event, for truly authentic properly prepared delicious German Bavarian style food and beer. Part of the restaurant feels as if you are in a country home, one part feels like you are in a hunting lodge, yet when you first walk in, it's like stepping into a typical German bar warm and cozy. It was Valentines day and the service was very attentive despite it being busy. The pacing was relaxed but not slow and all the dishes were beautifully presented. It's one of the few nicer places that is also family friendly.

Great Valentine day experience. Authentic German food and beer. Server was excellent and always came back to check our meals. We definitely return or highly recommend all of friends to this restaurant.

We enjoy coming to this place every Valentine's. The food was always good and I enjoy the pork shank every year. Feels like a family business as you see the same people every year. We will be taking our parents there soon.
