i've been around the world.... this place was very interesting to say the least. they charged me nearly 500 bucks for 5 crabs! oh my heavens! Even gods bleed! To any soul who thinks about going here... Kickin Crab or Crab Bay is pretty nearby. I much prefer those places if I were you. Oh God! How I dread day and night of every penny I've lost to this crab..... it must of included somesort of immortal elixir!

Normally we go to the other one in SJ but accidentally routed to this one. I thought it was the same but when our two orders of king crab arrived, we knew otherwise.
The crab did not taste fresh at all, upsetting when you’re paying $80-100/order.

The best seafood boil meal in the bay area is at Boiling Crab. Our favorites are shrimps, whole sha-bang sauce, medium spicy. My preference is 1/2 a pound $9. This time we tried the blue crab which is $25 for 2 crabs. The other stuff were fine. Fried scallops $19, fried calamari rings $12 and fried shrimps $16. That Cajun, garlic butter and lemon pepper on the seafood is what makes it perfect. Service was excellent. Boiling Crab is always a fun place to be because of the lively atmosphere and young staff. Good job guys.

Wait times can be long but the food is great. Try the lemon pepper fries and don't forget to add smoked sausage to your order.

Underwhelming and overhyped. Actually super disappointed because I was so excited. The best part of my meal was the rice. Worst part was that everything was extremely overcooked. The shrimp tasted like rubber and the sausage was like beef jerky! Our server was so unhelpful and slow, he only checked in once during the beginning. We had to find him multiple times because he was forgetful, which is fine—we get it, it’s busy, but because he didn’t check in on us, he wasn’t able to help us. He wasn’t even on the floor most of the time, so even then, it was difficult to ask for help. Two stars is gracious and a bigger estimate in my opinion. I wouldn’t waste your time here, especially since the wait is so long. Try elsewhere.

Watch out when you order through door dash because you can’t check your order. Boiling crab combined two separate orders into one bag. That means less sauce and having to figure out what’s a pound. It was annoying that we paid for separate orders and it specifically said two separate orders but someone got lazy and put them all in one bag. They didn’t send bibs or table mat. Very annoying.

Ordering on the phone sucks, they never answer.
Tried calling for over half an hour to place an order and no one picked up.
One of the best seafood restaurants! Never disappoints!
