The Breakfast Club at Midtown

Everything was great. The waitress was very nice, friendly and great smile. Tiramisu pancake was very nice. The rice eye sandwich hands down will eat again.

We love coming here for brunch! The food is always delicious, the portions are very generous, and everything has a warm, traditional homemade feel. It’s become one of our favorite spots, and we come here often. Highly recommend!

I love Jorge he is the fastest bus boy ever! If it's not busy he socializing with the customer, but if it's busy speedy Gonzalez has nothing on him! Food is great too. We drive from santa cruz for special occasions it is our favorite breakfast place.

Update on May 18, 2026:
The restaurant is busy as usual on a Saturday brunch time, but we managed to have a table within 10 min around 10:45AM, waited about 30 min to get our food though. Tried their Monte Cristo Sandwich, tasted good and the portion is more than enough for an adult. But their Cobb salad portion is too small, IMO. The salad tastes good, but I think the money is better spent on other dishes. The waitress is super nice.

Food is good and delicious, service is also good, the waiters are very friendly, but they are severely short staffed. The waiter had to be the bartender occasionally.

This spot lowkey got some of the best comfort food around 👀 Burgers juicy, fries crispy, and the desserts were dangerous lol. Everybody at the table kept saying we need to come back soon.

It’s a nice brunch place with many options. If you’re looking for breakfast or lunch. I had the blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes and the steak and eggs. It was delicious and the portions are big enough to share.

Wow. The food. Just wow.

We tried a couple of things, and everything was yum!

1. Midtown trio - tiramisu (pretty light - kinda skippable option), cookie (yummiest) and white chocolate pistachio (pretty good - has nutella on top) pancakes
2. Avacado toast with poached egg (needed salt and pepper) but pretty standard
3. Breakfast nachos (no chorizo, no egg) - really unexpectedly good. It was nicely spiced up and beans werent bland.
4. Garlic fries - needed salt - but overall good.

In drinks :
We got the Oranje juice - it had PULP!!! Fresh and nice
Iced latte - very milky and mid; their coffee machine had issues so all their iced lattes werent available.. but plan on getting that cookie monster next time in a flight.

We ordered a lot for 3 people so couldnt finish the midtown trio but definitely worth a visit!

Note : next time try fruit flavoured pancakes with a mix of cookie/choco ones for balance. Try cookie monster + drink flights.

Ordered ahead on Mother’s Day at 9:40 AM — didn’t help. Got a “ready for pickup” notification at 10:07 AM, arrived at 10:15 AM, and there was no food. Waited another 30+ minutes, nearly an hour total from when I ordered.
Bernie was the only one who stepped up and got things moving — appreciate him.
The Uber Eats add-on options apparently caught the kitchen off guard, leaving me unsure if I was even charged correctly. Manager assured me I wasn’t, but by then I just wanted to leave. Got home to cold food — not surprising when an order sits for 33 minutes after being marked “ready.” Serious coordination issues here.

Good food but close to non-existent service. Took 30mins to get last person in our party served. Waitress never asked if we wanted desserts (which we did) only slapped bill on table and walked away. Mother's day breakfast was ruined.

We went to Breakfast Club at around 11a. The place was busy yet the service was great! I had the veggie portabella burger and it was just so good and just spicy enough. My friend had the raspberry cream cheese French toast which was to die for. I would recommend this place!! Our server, Claudia was on the ball!

Very good breakfast food. Good presentation. Fresh ingredients. Friendly & efficient service with good humor.

Latte was okay. No brown sugar though.

Buttermilk pancakes were stacked 4 layers high. About an inch thick & I ask to brown which is called “well done” & it was done so 👍🏼

I will be back to try the other amazing looking & water dripping worded descriptions of more breakfast items.

Order taker Ms Shell was awesome. She was all smiles & happy to please. Well done on the customer service part.

Decor, theme, lighting, tables & chairs, seats & flooring, oh & toilets all good. No complains or want of change 👍🏼

Limited 2-hour carpark lots at the garage parking within the same building. We use the back entrance to access & exit the resturant for the garage.

Will be back again for sure.

I have been to other locations and they were at better. We started out with a mimosa flight and were disappointed. Some of the mimosas were warm and did not taste good. Upon arrival of our food, we were left even more disappointed. The rice we ordered was hard and crunchy. As if it was old rice and not made prior. There was extra meat that was not ordered in our scrambles as well. We then ordered 3 espresso martinis after hoping to make it better, but was left unsatisfied due to them also being bad. They were better than the mimosas but still not as great. On top of that our server was not the greatest either. Not sure if she was the only one serving but she was very hard to locate and did not check up on us during our meal. This location needs some work. I am very disappointed in our experience here and wish it was better as I have seen at other locations. I am not sure if this location is bad just in the weekends and they can’t handle the rush, but it was very disappointed experience. I definitely would go to other locations before this one.
