Went for dinner on a Saturday night. Great gin cocktail and the shrimp and grits was excellent. It’s a perfectly-sized restaurant inside and picnic tables and umbrellas outsides surely great for brunch. The service was friendly and attentive.
Post St. itself is a mangy but keep faith until you get to the front door—worth it.

My top 3 in San Jose, CA if you don’t have food restrictions. Great portions, great food (all, included the desserts!), drinks and the best service (Erika 🫶🏼✨) very on time!

Fantastic, low-key spot! Everything about this restaurant was great, from the relaxed feel inside to the perfectly crafted cocktails and savory plates. I had the braised short rib on a bed of creamy parsnip purée that was just amazing. It paired well with their mezcal cocktail. Would definitely recommend.

Great food and drinks! Green chilaquiles and crab cake Benedict was delicious. I can't wait to come back and order the pasta and the berry french toast.

One of the best dinners you’ll have in Downtown San Jose.
This cozy gem, owned by a passionate couple, radiates warmth and care in every detail. You can truly feel the heart they’ve poured into the place. From cocktails and appetizers to entrées and desserts — everything was a perfect 10/10. The steak and salmon, in particular, were outstanding. Highly recommend

The sea bass was amazing and so was the beat salad. Definitely the best Espresso Martini we have had.

We had a fantastic time having afternoon cocktails before attending a wedding nearby. The staff was friendly and cocktails were on point. I was especially impressed that they carry quality tequila. I cannot emphasize enough how friendly and attentive the staff was to our large group. I did not have the appetizers but others in our group really enjoyed them. Thanks to the staff and George that supported our visit.

AnothA good spot to keep in the breakfast rotation with bills cafe☕. reminds me of bills but on the upscale side.
location is cool but the sidewalk on the corner is disgusting🤮... need to power wash that, had to take my shoes off b4 going back inside our home after.
love everything else. eat outside on a beautiful day if u like, greeat shade with the big umbrellas⛱️.
tight spot inside but worth the visit!!
the shrimp 🍤 and grits is so delicious
love the calamari🦑
had to do the hummus and ita house made and phenomenal
the braised brisket🍖 was super soft with the carrots🥕
try the bartenders choice for drinks... u wont regret it... but live life on the edge ... take a chance even if it was wrong
the breakfast:
Chilaquiles is a hit!!!
get the French Toast - anotha must!
🧇waffle n 🍗chicken🐣 was mid - chicken was a tad on the dull side - flavor could be more seasoned the get that sweet and savory recipe. but the waffle was good in my opinion.
I wanna try the crab cake Benedict next!!! super excited

It was all very mediocre to me. I came to San Jose in hopes of good food, and this was something I stumbled upon. What I’d read/seen sounded amazing. What I got was mediocrity. —it at least made a good photo.
Listen. It wasn’t the worst ever, but I’d probably never go back on my own.

In the vibrant heart of San Jose, where the city pulses with life, lies Club on Post—a sanctuary of revelry and camaraderie. As I stepped through its doors, I was enveloped by an atmosphere that hummed with energy, a symphony of laughter and clinking glasses that beckoned us to join the celebration.
The decor exudes a modern charm, with sleek lines and warm lighting that dances upon the walls, creating an inviting embrace. It felt as though we had entered a contemporary art piece, where every corner invites exploration and every table holds a story waiting to be shared.
We began our evening with a shared appetizer of Truffle Fries, golden and alluring, each crisp bite a delightful dance of flavor. The fragrant truffle oil wove its magic, elevating this simple dish into a culinary delight that set the stage for the feast to come.
For the main course, I savored the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, a hearty creation that arrived with a flourish. Juicy, tender chicken nestled between fresh, toasted bread, adorned with vibrant toppings and a drizzle of aioli—each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes, a celebration of comfort food at its finest.
The cocktail menu was a treasure trove of creativity, and we indulged in a couple of signature drinks that were both artful and refreshing. Each sip was a burst of flavor, crafted with precision and passion—a perfect complement to the lively ambiance surrounding us.
As the evening unfolded, I was captivated by the energy of the crowd—the laughter, the music, the joy of shared moments. The attentive staff moved gracefully through the space, their warmth and enthusiasm adding to the charm of the experience, ensuring that every guest felt like part of the family.
In conclusion, Club on Post is more than just a dining destination; it is a vibrant celebration of life, a place where flavors mingle and friendships blossom. As we departed, our hearts were full, and our spirits lifted, eager to return to this enchanting haven of joy and flavor.

Oh my gosh!!!! My family and I are on vacation driving through California. We stayed in San Jose for a couple nights. We parked in downtown to check things out. I Googled places for dinner and The Club on Post came up with good reviews. The website offered reservations and I booked one. We walked in and were greeted by Alena. She was a doll!!! She was also our server, she was super friendly and helpful. I knew this was my place, the music they had playing in the background was amazing, loud enough to hear it but quiet enough you can still have a conversation. I don't know if the music playing is always 2000s.... But it was that night, and they had Friends playing on the screen. The vibe was just so amazing.... But, now I'm showing my age. Ohh the food, so good. I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich and my husband ordered the burger and we swapped halves.... Oh man the burger and sandwich were both delicious. We ordered dessert too. The molten lava cake was bomb!!! The creme brulee was amazing too. It was such a happy accident we stumbled across The Club. Alena definetly made our night.
