I had The Dons deli for the 1st time since moving close by. I ordered two Ruebens one for today and tomorrow's lunch and another for my son The classic. Ruebens were very good, a good hearty sandwich. Will be trying more in the future.

Hard to even start this review but I hope someone from this business pays attention. The sandwich area where they are prepared is very dirty and employees look unprofessional The sandwich was terrible and messy with no flavor Very messy sandwich It's sad to see a business with such terrible food I rather make a sandwich at home or go to subway!

This is the second time I've ordered from this location through Door Dash. The first time was okay. An okay sandwich, but nothing special. This order was a complete disappointment. Firstly, I didn't receive the side I ordered (fries) and they said they were "out." If it's out, take it off of your menu! To make matters worse, instead of simply refunding me, they gave a coupon for a free side. How the heck am I supposed to use this? I can't use it with Door Dash. They assume I'm going to give them my business again after screwing up my order? Completely unacceptable. Even worse, my grilled sandwich was complete MUSH. It was supposed to be a grilled Ruben with extra 1000 island dressing. My request for extra dressing on the side was ignored, and the sandwich was not toasted or crispy AT ALL. Just a complete soggy mess. I'm having to grill it myself in a frying pan to make it edible. Sorry folks! This is the last time I will give this location a chance. The Sunnyvale location was always wonderful and tasty, but the owner's of this location are not up to scratch.

Usually love this place for a local sandwich or salad but the last few times the customer service and quality of food has definitely diminished. Upon arriving , no greeting as employees were making some Copies from copier - just blank stares. The guy behind the counters shirt is so unbelievably dirty. Besides his stomach hanging out his shirt, maybe get a larger size? His shirt and shorts are all filled with dried food. I decided just to get something for my friend as my stomach turned looking at that. He seemed annoyed and half listening to what I was ordering as I had deleted some things off the sandwich. The girls making the sandwich had no personality and they looked grubby too. Sandwich had all the things on it I had asked to be deleted So sad I loved this place . .

Great sandwich. I got the Melt which had a pretty awesome meat-bread ratio and an amazing marinara sauce to top it off.

This place is legit! I had a tritip sandwich and it was the best I've ever had. That sauce they put on it is awesome. I hope they open up more hours because right now it closes way too early- That's my only complaint.

Was in town for work and asked the Starbucks barista where to eat. He recommended Dons. Said it was way better than Ike's and cheaper too. So glad I listened to him. Incredibly wide selection of signature sandwiches, very helpful staff, and options for every kind of dietary restrictions. I got the chipotle chicken and added cucumber. The fresh cucumber cut the spicy ness just enough to make it one of my new faves. Bummed I don't live in town but I'll be sure to visit when I come back!!! Thanks for the free cookie too!! (Starbucks barista said their Cubano is to die for in case that's your thing)

I ordered an avocado and tomato sandwich and asked for cheddar cheese... I was not expecting this LOL. Why would they put this much cheese just why

We went here to try their Mac and Cheese that we heard great things about and unfortunately they were all out by 1pm. Understandable, if it's that delicious! The service wasn't welcoming. Nobody was wearing a hair net and some for sure had their hair down which grossed me out a little. The cashier also made sure to remind me that the avocado would cost extra on the French Dip, charged me and still forgot to add the avocado. Also tried the Dirty Bird and it was okay, there was just a TON of cream cheese. I love cream cheese but that ratio was insane. I had to scoop some off with a spoon. Very disappointed and probably won't be coming back.

Sandwhich was good. Also gave me some free sauce and a free cookie. Overall good experience.

Absolutely horrified to have found mold on the piece of cheese roll... we ordered two "Dirty Bird" sandwiches, one with rye bread and the other with cheese bread. If a restaurant specializing in sandwiches cannot manage one of the most important components - bread, I'm afraid what other pathogens are lurking in their food. So gross. We feel sick to our stomachs!
