Ordered the classic patty melt. It was pedestrian and had too much salt. Poutine was really good. However, what I didn't like was that you ordered at the counter and paid beforehand. The POS has automatic tip added (set at 18%) even before your food is made. There is no incentive here for good service. I think next time I'll zero out the automatic tip and leave cash tip after service.

This is a cool place to eat and meet up with friends. The Nashville hot chicken nuggets were perfectly cooked & had just the right amount of heat. Lots of seasoning so it’s messy. The mocha was rich, strong and delicious. The tater tots were crispy on the outside & soft on the inside. Large portion. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that my experience was top-notch. However the wait to get your food is long. They are understaffed. There’s also stuffed animals in jars … maybe Sid from Toy Story grew up and now owns this place.Parking 3/5Quality 3/5Customer Service 2/5Return value 4/5

This place never fails. The food is always amazing the service staff is incredibly friendly ! Shout-out to Jazmine for the amazing smoothies every time ! 10/10 would recommend ! (Just a note this is the location that does NOT serve alcohol. That would be the other location.) But that doesn't take away from the food or experience at all.

We had the best time at the Funny Farm Restaurant -- amazingly good food and completely good fun. It was the best start to a very rainy day.

My friend and I were down in SJ and decided we wanted to grab some brunch and decided to try this place because of its great reviews. To be honest, when I looked at the menu, I couldn't pick out something to eat, because, well, nothing seemed terribly appealing. And given I kind of wanted something on the light side, there really wasn't anything to choose from. I ended up going with a sandwich, and chose the Firebird melt. All their sandwiches and burgers are a la carte, which basically means I got a plate with the sandwich and nothing else for $15. If I wanted a side, I'd have to pay $9+ for tater tots, which my friend and I split. The sandwich was fine. And honestly, it feels like everything on their menu is meant to just be fatty and heavy rather than actually tasty or offer much variety. I guess that goes with all their signs about unbuttoning your pants to prepare for their food. I wanted to like this funky place, but the menu really isn't appealing and not something worth raving about nor coming back for.

The food was surprisingly tasty! Small joint with seating outdoors. The food took a while to arrive and came a bit cold and it wasn't even that busy! I asked for ketchup and I got 2 packets The staff was super nice and absolutely attentive.

First impression: welcomed openly. Clean. No really, the place is spotless. Smells amazing.I ordered the Frenchy and my wife got the fried BLT. Both were wonderful. Fresh ingredients. Great sauces. We shared the loaded tots and just wow. I highly suggest the Chipotle aoli.Jasmine was warm and welcoming. She also had some great suggestions. When I am in San Jose again I WILL be eating here again!!!

I Funny Farm Restaurant when I was looking for a good burger between my home in San Jose and a friend I was meeting....what a find it was! There are a ton of pictures online already so I won't include much except for a couple of quirky ones, but just know that The Funny Farm has a fun vibe, friendly staff and truly unique delicious burgers. Let's start with the vibe and decor... think Area 51 meets Alf (80s TV show). Slinkies on the ceiling, fuzzy orange and green things, a bar with a fake drink spilled on it... just goofy but in a fun and not corny way somehow. We ordered a couple of burgers and poutine (Canadian fries with cheese curds and gravy). The burgers are unique - I ordered the "Get Shorty" which had braised short rib on top of the jack and cheddar cheese burger and homemade catchup. The short rib gave it a really good beef flavor that was delicious. My buddy ordered the "Cowboy" which was a burger with an onion ring stuffed with pulled pork. He said his was delicious too. Both took time to make - it's not a fast food joint, but they were worth the wait. The poutine which we had never tried were a good but strange Canadian thing. The cheese curds were good but could have used a bit more to go with the last fries. Even the glasses of soda were really strangely shaped (kind of like some strange science beaker... overall I love a place that has a good theme and then sticks with it and drives it home. So with that I am posting a couple of pictures that shows how committed they are to their fun vibe... from the bathroom - sorry I had to do it....

So we really wanted to like this place. The quirky interior, the friendly and funny staff, but the food was a bit of a letdown.... The Get Shorty Burger: The burgers all looked interesting and the pics and description sounded fantastic. It arrived at the table and looked great. The egg was runny as it should be. However once I tucked in, the egg and the crispy onion strings were about all I liked. The meat was poorly seasoned and overcooked. It had a thready dry crumbly texture to it. It basically killed the whole burger. The bun and grilled onion was fine but the meat was just something I could not get beyond. Stinky Fries: Steak fried with parm and garlic. The fires looked okay but there was so much oil, they were a wet mess. No crunch at all. Pity Caesar Salad: The dressing was okay but the lettuice was tough and fibrous. If I was blindfolded I would have sworn it was kale not romaine. This may be a case where the menu is simply too big to sustain quality. I am not sure and its a pity because we loved the interior but we were there for the food at an episode of Architectural Digest.

An eclectic, fun and unique joint. Most of what's on the menu you've never had ... and it's really good. Pretty sure you couldn't duplicate it at home either. Homemade cheeses and sauces layered over tots or meats and sometimes there's eggs. Folks are crazy nice and helpful. They have desserts which we'll have to save room for next time. Forget the typical fast food joints or chain pub and go get some great comfort food. Did I mention the cool vibe!?!

First time here and we loved it! Went to the San Felipe location with our dogs and sat on the patio. Ellie was our server and she was great! So was the food. Try the tator tots for sure. Highly recommend!

We walked in and were immediately greeted and helped by such friendly staff! The ambiance is fun and vibrant, bringing us instant delight and good vibes. The menu has creatively-named options that are impressively delicious and photogenic. Even the bathroom is cute. 100% give this place a visit if you haven’t yet.
