Female owned. Post election and post pandemic I am going to find as many female owned businesses as possible and try to spend my $ there. Vietnamese grandma in back. Order off the menu. I just had the best stir fried veggies w rice in memory. Nice mouth numbing dipping sauce. Fresh from the kitchen get that fresh wok hay texture/flavor. Crispy and tender stir fried chayote w Serrano chili And carrots. First layer has spicy from the fresh black pepper then the layer layers have the flavor from the brownish sauce. Not overly salty or sweet. Al dente texture on the edges and soft in middle. All pieces sliced same. Chicken Napa cabbage soup. Chicken cut into pieces with bones. Asian style suck the meat off the bones not Americanized with pieces of chicken breast. Napa cabbage not over cooked. Home version has bean thread noodles. Not served in most restaurants. Very healthy. Home style dish. Next batch I add some precooked bean thread noodles. Never store noodles w soup else the noodles absorb all the liquid . Chicken salad: ketone style no noodles or cheap filler like lettuce. Never had anything like it. From the owner. Not on the menu. We had a chat about teh herb rau ram and talked about how it works with chicken. So she made me a chicken salad w rau ram! Talk to the owner for what you like to try and she will make it. Keep iterating till you find what you like. Like having a persona Vietnamese chef. Little sweet and spicy. Next time I add More spicy. Never had a chili pepper spicy chicken salad. Steamed chicken; had a craving for steamed ginger onion chicken. The type you find in Chinese restaurants where you dip in ginger onion paste. Delicious. This version isn't salty like the cantonese/chinese versions. They use the salt to help draw the moisture out and make the skin tougher/rubbery so it stays intact after steaming. Problem is when you eat it the first bites are dominated by a salt flavor vs a chicken flavor. This version is better wo the salt/brine immersion. healthier. I am going to ask her to make me a version from the chickens with the head/feet on it you see in the asian supermarkets to see if the flavor is better. Good after a microwave heating. Had a short discussion w the owner and she made it for me!! Came back at 7pm to pick it up. Fried fish with bitter melon soup: not on the menu. Traditional vietnamese stuffed pork inside bitter melon with fried fish braised in tomato/onion. They make me what they eat for lunch. First time I had this combo. Pairs nicely, the sweetness from the tomato pairs nicely with the slight sweetness from the pork inside the bitter melon. Sweet contrasted with slight bitter. Light broth soup. Lunch always an adventure. Always learn something every time. Not Americanized not sugary sweet. Authentic. Park across the street and charge car also. The dipping sauce is fantastic spicy hot and salty. Closest I have had the the Guam dipping sauce finadeni

This place is now a Vietnamese style cafe instead of a regular coffee shop. If you're from San Jose you know what that means. It's definitely under new management or something because this isn't how it used to be and the pictures on Yelp are no longer indicative of the current business. Also my clothes reeked of cigarette smoke after I left which was unpleasant. The Vietnamese iced coffee was good, though.

I think they may have changed management because this place is COMPLETELY different from how it was before. Inside there are people without masks playing mahjong and drinking alcohol. (Right now indoor dining is not even allowed) Even the cashiers aren't wearing masks. The whole place smells like cigarettes and alcohol. I ordered a coffee and a bagel but I don't think the cashier knew what both were because she had to ask someone else to prepare it. I didn't feel safe inside and even considered leaving without my order. Once I got my order I left right away, I ended up throwing it away because I didn't feel safe consuming their food.

No COVID measures in place. 30-50 patrons without masks crowded inside and smoking on a Sunday. Only person wearing a mask besides me was the staff member. Walked in and was stunned and left really quickly but my hair still smelled like smoke!

Oh my God, The Grind Coffee House was definitely terrific. The price was super reasonable - I couldn't believe it! Every thing I've tried thus far is incredibly good. Crew is really friendly and will certainly help you with everything. Would really like to go back soon!

I love to stay here and just let time pass while sitting on their comfortable couch and enjoying a good cup of my favorite Frappuccino after a tiring day of work. Staffs here are all friendly, and they are all smiling while they greet you. I will surely come back again and recommend to all of my friends who love coffee!

It's a Vietnamese coffee place. Place was bit untidy. The espresso coffee was good.

Walked into a large card game and a cigarette smoke filled the coffee shop. No one wore masks and the place was not clean. The lady behind the counter can only make your basic coffee. She had no clue how to make a latte. Will never go back.

Walked into a card game and a smoke filled coffee shop. You would think you were in a card room and not a coffee shop. Super weird vibe. The lady behind the counter only knows how to make a basic coffee. Don't ask for a latte, because that's not what you will get.

Cheers to more customers in the future! This coffee shop was one of my favorite places to chill out right now. No hidden charges compared to others! Their ambiance throughout the place was terrific! Try their services and you won’t regret it for sure. Highly recommended for both meetings and friends as well for having an excellent atmosphere.

A unique coffee shop to study and read books. No loud noises which will help you a lot to concentrate on what you do. They do have a variety of food and drinks you can select from. I honestly love the great interior all over the place. Trust me! You will never be disappointed for sure! A memorable place to relax.

Way back on Thursday, I went to this coffee shop with my friends. And the first thing that caught our attention was the surroundings, like how the area is so clean. The tables and chairs are well-organized. The walls are so nice to picture with. And even the scent of the shop is so relaxing. And lastly, the music they play is so very soothing.

Fantastic place for breakfast! The waitress who served my coffee and pancake was very pleasant and the overall service was quick. I really enjoyed my breakfast here at your coffee shop. I can also read some magazines and books inside the shop. The quality of the service was very satisfying. I will surely tell my friends and family about my experience here!

Adorable little cafe which is well kept and decorated. Perfect for a light breakfast and drink or snack. Tried the rose lemonade and tropical tea, blueberry bagle.
