Wayyy overpriced, the food is fine, decent selection but the portions are pitiful, they barely fill the shallow bowl with chicken in rice. Not acceptable for the price

Food was good but entirely lukewarm. Got a falafel wrap where the pita was just slightly warmed and the whole thing was wrapped up without being put on any grill. Could have been so much better if it was just properly heated.

Portions are small. Worker asked me if I wanted beans and I said no. And she said, “no beans?” Like was she surprised that I don’t want beans because I’m Mexican?! Workers were really nice to the guest before me and became monotone when I came up to the counter. Also the portions are super small. Not worth it. Made me feel super embarrassed.

They give horrible portions. I got a large bowl and the food doesn't even reach the first ridge on the bowl. Pathetic amount of rice with one scoop not even filling the ladle. Same with the meat, too. Half scoops of both chicken and beef. The only thing I got a decent amount of was lettuce, but I'm here for protein, not a salad. Overall, massive ripoff for $15. If you're a student looking for food, go to Panda or Taco Bell, it's worth the wait vs the absolutely horrendous portions.

I go here basically every day, and usually get the rice bowl with brown rice, BBQ chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and kale. On occasion I’ll get the fries bowl, which is really good; crispy and fresh. It’s healthy, tasty, quick, and affordable food on campus. I would definitely recommend

Oh, the delicious Halal Shack.. I would give them 1000 stars if I could! I’ve always heard of Halal but never had the opportunity to try it until now. Halal Shack at SJSU is one of the best restaurant options that the Student Union offers! I fell in love with the BBQ chicken, and am pretty obsessed with the Naaanarito. All of the ingredients are consistently super fresh, and the employees are always so knowledgeable, sweet and friendly! I love being able to come back here every chance I get! Now I’m craving a Naanarito! ????
