First time here for a venue/concert. Never again! Start time was 8pm. Doors didn't open until 8pm. 1st group at 9pm and main @11! No seating except about 20-30 bar stool scattered around the place. It was so hot in there and The bathroom area was even hotter. People are gross, can't handle their liquor and made the bathroom just gross. I will say the staff really tried hard to keep up with bathroom needs. The bar service and prices was decent. Not a long wait for drinks. The bar staff was quick. With all this, keep in mind this place is an older building.

I went here for a concert. The lines are really long to get in. There is VERY little seating, so if you can stand all night, then you're good. It's NOT handicap accessible. The lighting is the worst. MOST OF ALL THE RESTROOMS WERE SOME OF THE WORST I'VE EVER SEEN. They smell really bad. The plumbing backed of and 1 toilet worked out of 3. They said the mens restroom was worse. Disgusting the people who work there are very rude. The lines for drinks were not bad. Let's just say some people shouldn't be bartenders.

Worst worst. They played worst possible music on Bollywood night with an entry fee of 20$. They were playing songs like Saibo?. Worst place. I could rate as less as possible.

Always a staple in DTSJ. Ordering drinks is pretty fast, restrooms are not super trashed at events, and there’s a cute photo booth for $5 a session! Parking can be tricky, staff is friendly, & the venue is in good shape!

Went here for the 90's event, large place but it does get congested inside. Bar super accessible, didn't wait long to get a drink. Overall good spot to go out for events.

Went to this venue for a Kung Fu Vampire concert. Great show, great service. Staff were very professional and quick to get us in and bar service. Will definitely attend another show at The Ritz

I recently attended a show at The Ritz with my sister, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. The sound and lighting really enhanced the performance and created an electrifying atmosphere. The venue's layout had fantastic views of the stage from every angle, contributing to an unforgettable night. Notably, the bartenders' efficiency in fulfilling drink orders added to the overall enjoyment. I would 10/10 recommend The Ritz for anyone looking to watch their favorite artist perform - a great experience that did not disappoint!

Cool spot, we had a good time. The bartenders are fast and good at what they do.The sound quality is sort of bad if a band is playing. And just as a warning, the smell of pee is overwhelming when you walk in the front door, like something or someone is constantly peeing in the corner. The smells goes into the main area, where it's not as bad but you can still smell the urine smell.

Kung Fu Vampire

Best Live Music Venue and only true concert venue in San José, friendly staff, great drink variety, sound system and lighting both superb, we need to protect the Ritz at all cost. They bring my favorite acts like Reverend Horton Heat and tons of different genres.
