Ordered a cake with "First trip around sun" theme for my son's birthday. Our regular baker was out of town and we chose the rolling pin. The Rolling Pin Baker was nice while taking the order. My wife gave all the requirements needed for the cake. It was all good until that point. After picking up cake, on our way back to home the astronaut piece on the cake fell off. Baker immediately started finding ways to find fault with us. We did explain the issue and she did fix in 10 minutes. Overall if you are looking for very simple cake design rolling pin probably will do decent job but for a complex design you are better off choosing another professional baker. The finishing on the cake was definitely not what you get for the price you pay. The decorative pieces on the cake were not properly attached and were stuck with tooth picks.Taste: 2.5/5Finish/decorative pieces on cake: 1/5

Shruthi is an amazing culinary artist and I was so happy to find her. She accommodated my request in a weeks' notice and did a fabulous job. She requests 3 photos of the design you'd like in her portal for design requests. She told me which one would be most feasible within short notice and my partner's birthday wouldn't have been the same without her help. She really made me look cool. We were planning for a last minute event and frantically started searching Yelp for someone who could bake us a custom cake with just a few days notice.Reached out to Shruthi, who was very responsive from the get go. She was able to accommodate our design and provide suggestions as well.She helped us with a cake and cake pops and also helped get it delivered.The cake looked beautiful and unlike other custom cakes we had ordered in the past (where the look compromised the taste), this one was equally yummy.The kids at the event also liked the cake pops.Overall we are really happy with the cake and service.Definitely recommend Shruthi :)

If you need delicious custom cakes for your next event, look no further. Shruthi was amazing to work with. We submitted the request form on their website. Shruthi got back to us with some ideas, and we finalized on the flavors and design. The cake looked gorgeous and tasted like a piece of heaven. We had over 40 guests and it was large enough for all of them. All of our guests loved the cake. Thank you for making such an elegant cake for our daughters birthday, Shruthi.

The aesthetics are okay, but don't expect those that you see in TV shows or advertisement. The owner/baker is nice. The flavors...uhm, that's what led me to this rating plus the overpriced items which I agreed to pay because of time crunch. I bought my own decor items because my daughter wanted some gold butterflies, and she lost the package - insisted I didn't put them in the bag . I let it go as I didn't want to spoil the birthday by dwelling on this issue, plus she said she can create the edible butterflies anyway..and she did create "one" small one. The cakes were all dry (ordered 3) and the fillings were okay but I wouldn't say they're delicious. Perhaps the cakes weren't good because she only had like 5 days to make them? Just giving her benefit of the doubt. So...in summary, thumbs up to her attitude (except for the butterfly issue), thumbs down to the cakes.

Shruthi was quick to respond with a sketch that looked really nice. When we picked up the cake it looked just like the original sketch she had sent us. It was packed nicely too to help sign transportation. The cake not only looked amazing but it was absolutely delicious!! Overall we were extremely happy working with Shruthi, starting with original conversation about cake details it was extremely stress free and easy to work with, the aesthetics and cake presentation and the accuracy of what was promised to us and the taste and the timeliness on the delivery of cake!

Soooo good! The cake didn't just look amazing, it tasted fantastic too. I'd definitely recommend Shruthi for any custom cakes, and I'll definitely come back if I need another cake.

She was very responsive and absolutely loved that she was able to deliver right to my door. My family loved the cakes inside and out. Highly recommend and will continue to use for future events!

I got in touch with Shruthi at the very last minute for our daughters first Bday unicorn cake. She made the main cake and also the smash cake. I shared a few images with her for inspiration. We're from New York City and have usually worked with bakers from there [personal bias - NYC bakers are just more experienced and deliver a completely different product than the Bay Area bakers]. Shruthi exceeded all our expectations. Not only did the cake look artisan quality but it also tasted amazing! Would def. recommend her. Dont hesitate! Shes a gem!
