The avocado on the two # 24 sandwiches was bad-tasting and the bread tasted old, I was disappointed paid over $31 for two meals and when I got home had to throw them away. I also noticed the place was not as clean as I remember it. I love Togos but had a bad experience 2/1/24 the clerk that help was pleasant

424 W Capitol Expy San Jose, CA 95136 I was in the area, and I decided to try this Togo's Sandwich place. It was about 3:30pm on a Tuesday, during fair weather. This place has a 2-star Yelp average, and I wanted to see why. When I walked in the door, I got immediately hit with musty-steamy air. The air was heavy and stuffy. I was told it's caused by the warmers that use hot water. The worker greeted me and asked for my order. I ordered my favorite Togo's sandwich.....The Pastrami Reuben. It was "hot and melty" with 1000-Island Dressing. How was the sandwich? Smaller than normal, with a slight sour after-taste. Okay, it didn't make me sick. But what is that sour taste from? Maybe the kraut? The salad dressing? I didn't take the sandwich back. In general, the sandwich had lots of pastrami and kraut. It was hot, juicy and savory. Also, the roll is smaller. I have recently been to Togo's in Alameda and Gilroy, and ordered similar sandwiches. Their sandwiches had wider rolls. This something you wouldn't notice unless you're a regular Togo's customer. Overall, I would agree with the bad reviews. Something is not right here. Would I return? No thanks Free Parking

As I was a few minutes away from Togos, I wanted to order a large Turkey Avocado ahead of time, but unfortunately they apparently don't like to answer the phone at this location. I chalked it up to maybe they were just really busy. Nope- nobody else besides one girl behind the sandwich counter and another who was sitting at a table towards the back talking with some friends. When my friend and I got home to eat, I realized there was no avocado on the Turkey Avocado sandwich. I tried to call back to complain and have them start making a new one, but again they are not answering the phone. I jumped back in the car with what was left of the sandwich, with the phone on redial- they did not answer until like the 10th or so time calling. Super frustrating because I wanted to have them start making a new one so I didn't have to waste even more time on this issue. When I got there they inspected the half of the sandwich that was left and said they could only replace with a regular size sandwich since half was gone. Super disappointing experience all the way around!!!!

Second time I visited this place and both times they forgot to cut my large sandwich into three after I specifically requested it. Also to mention that I clicked no tip and it still charged me $4 tip. They try not to give you a receipt but I asked for one. So I did see it before I left but didn't say anything, but when they forgot the simple instruction of cutting my sandwich in three, it made it more irritating that they can't follow simple instructions. Seriously going to consider not going to this one again.

Today I went into TOGOs and experienced Terrible customer service and to add insult to injury they charge me an extra 75 cents for more salad dressing . I spent 45.00 include two large salads and they only give me one small container of dressing. When I asked for another given the salad size they said they had to charge! This is absolutely ridiculous, they should at least provide two salad dressing containers. The salad is large enough for two people and one small container does not go a long ways. If you are ordering salad there be prepared for light salad dressing coverage unless you fork out another 75 cents. Giving them one star for this service and policy, the food is good but Servive lacking.

Quick service because only one person being helped. Ordered a number large 47 and noticed that there was a small amount of roast beef applied to my sandwich, well the scale wasn't even on to tell, same with the customer in front of with his pastrami was "light". Good sandwich give me what I'm paying for not just an eyeball of what they think is the right amount. The meat added was for a regular not a large. Won't be back.

There is an employee there named Roberto who is just the sweetest person, and he makes some of the best Pastrami sandwiches I've ever eaten in my life.

Horrible staff. Slow AF workers, sandwiches are made crappy. I'd say the men who work here care more then the lazy women who work here. To bad businesses don't give AF anymore about their customers and who they have working for them.

I recently visited Togo's and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The sandwich was dry and lacked flavor, and the bread was stale. The lettuce and tomatoes were wilted and unappetizing. The service was slow and the staff seemed uninterested in providing good customer service. The store was dirty and unkempt. I would not recommend Togo's to anyone and will not be returning. It was a waste of time and money. Overall, Togo's is a poor excuse for a sandwich shop. Furthermore, the prices at Togo's are exorbitant for the lack of quality and quantity of food you receive. I ordered a "large" sandwich and was shocked at how small it was. I left feeling hungry and unsatisfied. The only redeeming quality of my experience was that the sandwich was wrapped in foil which kept it warm. The atmosphere of the store was also uninviting. The lighting was dim, the floors were sticky and it had a strange smell. The seating area was cramped and uncomfortable. I observed several tables with dirty dishes and trash left behind by previous customers, which made me question the cleanliness of the kitchen. I would advise anyone looking for a sandwich to steer clear of Togo's and instead opt for a different sandwich shop where you will receive better quality food and service. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Togo's and will not be returning. Additionally, the employees at Togo's were not only uninterested in providing good customer service, but they were also rude and unprofessional. I overheard them complaining about their jobs and customers, which made me uncomfortable. I also observed them not washing their hands or wearing gloves while handling food, which is a huge sanitation concern. I also noticed that the menu was very limited and uninspired. They offered a few basic sandwich options and nothing more. I would have appreciated more variety and some innovative sandwich options, but unfortunately, Togo's did not have anything of the sort. In conclusion, Togo's is a poor excuse for a sandwich shop. The food, service, atmosphere, and employee attitude are all lacking. I would not recommend Togo's to anyone and will not be returning. It was a waste of time and money. I would advise anyone looking for a sandwich to steer clear of Togo's and instead opt for a different sandwich shop where you will receive better quality food, service, and atmosphere.

Most disappointing Togo's sandwich I've ever had. My coworker ordered several sandwiches when I was right there when she placed the order on the phone. Mine was simple.. a large 26 with everything on it. And what I got was a sandwich with only meat and cheese. And by the time the sandwich was delivered there was no way I was going to leave and drive over there. Total bummer.
