Im not sure Im being fair but base my review strictly on their meatball appetizer $12.50? It was just very average meatball. Ive had much better meatball & sauce elsewhere, thats why Im only giving 2 star. The thing was waiter was busy & really not much service. I understand that he was only one waiter for whole restaurant but he only had about 7 tables ( not too busy). What probably was tough for waiter was that the food had not come for many of the tables so the server had to wait for food to come out for other tables before serving or taking our order. We never got thing like pepper on table. That was my fault, I never ask for pepper. A good restaurant should at least have pepper on table in case the meatballs are not very good.
There was a self serve station ( with napkins) so i should have checked there to see if there was black pepper.
My Dad wanted some type of White Sauce. They did have alfredo with Chicken. You can substitute shrimp but then they change the sauce to tomato. Dad wanted White sauce so not sure why the waiter told us that if he change to Shrimp, he has to have tomato ( on the menu it says you can have chicken alfredo, Substitute Shrimp for 4 dollars so not sure why waiter did not see that ( then Dad would have had his Alfredo with Shrimp. Anyhow, i was thinking i can cook that at home if that was all he wanted.
To give the restaurant credit, they did have lunch special ( which no one told us) but insert in menu. But the lunch special you can choose sandwich. I wish they use English, I believe the sandwich name is Piadine ( flatbread) or if you choose pizza. So if you want pizza & salad you can have both for 13.50 or 13.95. It is my fault for wanting low gluten ( I try to eat less bread) but Dad wanted Italian today. Its just he never got his cream or white sauce. Im not sure why he tipped the waiter 18 or 19 percent, as on the receipt you have option of tip of less than 10 percent. I was confuse because they meant additional tip. My dad tip way more than that, he tip 18 percent. I dont know why he does that when he did not get the food he wanted, & my meatball & marinana not that great. I suppose i should have tried the other dishes. The waiter did make a comment ( when I ask for Dad) I ask for next time about the lunch specials & waiter admited that the quantity for lunch special is kid sized. Combination of my meatballs not being good ( & no pepper on table), it made me miss Dominos as even tho Dominos has too much bread, at least the sausage is good there.

I ordered to go: chicken piccatta, garlic knots, peach cobbler, and the pasta trio. I live about 5-7 minutes away. My order was waiting for me on the counter when I arrived, the staff was friendly. When I got home, I noticed my chicken piccatta did not seem to have the white wine sauce. I saw the capers and the spinach, but no sauce. The spaghetti noodles tasted like they were not cooked all the way. All of the food tasted cold. The peach cobbler didn't even look like I expected. The weird looking pastry thing was extremely soggy, the peaches were hard and it looked nothing like a peach cobbler. As for the pasta trio, the chicken in the Alfredo tasted a little dry. I paid $72 for undercooked, cold food that did not even taste good. I would not recommend coming here.

We went early, a little before 5:00pm. It was quiet and not too busy with no waiting at that time. The food was very good and the Tiramisu cake was delicious with generous helpings of both.

Came here because I was craving lasagna on a weeknight. Not very crowded at all, maybe four other tables.

We ordered roasted brussel sprouts to start, but instead of being roasted they were merely quickly sautéed and very hard to chew.

The lasagna didn’t feel like one dish, the pasta sheets felt very separate from the sauce which were also separate from the cheese (that slid right off). It was also drowning in sauce.

The fettuccini Alfredo was nothing special.

The restaurant was also very cold. Bring a jacket!

Great place for italian food. Strategically located in a shopping strip. They have a visible pizza oven where u can see ur pizza being cooked. The garlic bread is delicious.

I came here on Mother’s Day and was surprised that this place was almost empty. Now I know why it was empty: service is poor, food is not tasty.

As long as we lived in the westgate area, we have yet to have had tried this place. Tonight was the night and we were beyond surprised! Our server Ashley was such a great host. She made sure to give us recommendations and favorites of her own! The food was delicious. We had the garlic rolls, seasonal polenta and the cheese ravioli with bolognese sauce. All three were perfectly seasoned and the serving size was huge! And the tiramisu? Chef's kiss for sure! We loved that it was balanced in flavor and sweetness. We'll definitely be coming back to visit

Walked in on the night of Valentines Day and was seated immediately. The food was all 5 out of 5 stars! All the girls there were so sweet too. The Calabrian sausage was to die for. Thank you! Will definitely come back next time we’re in San Jose.

I would suggest Tomatina is the best franchise in the state per their food, service, atmosphere and value. Italian food is also pretty healthy.

I placed a small order redeemed from Local by Toast app but at the wrong location online. The lady here helped me immediately even before I tried to call the other location and they prepared the food so fast.

This kind of courtesy is rare nowadays.
