I got take-out from Umi on a work trip. I asked for the receipt so I could report it for work, but the receipt was not provided. It's been impossible to get in contact with them since - I have called and emailed multiple times. The sushi was alright - no major complaints. However their customer service leaves much to be desired.

Ordered from DoorDash for pickup. Arrived 15 minutes earlier than the pick up time. The staff said 15 minutes wait. That’s fine. So I waited. A lot of people who ordered after I arrived already got their food. 25 minutes later my food is ready. I asked why it’s late. The staff said the people who order on DoorDash has to wait until after they served everyone who dine in.. seriously.. so it just becomes an endless wait until you have downtime… really disappointed by this experience. It’s ok if it takes a long time. Just say that upfront. Don’t promise a pick up time but unable to meet that promise while I stand there and wait.
Take out orders have the nori wrapped in a plastic film that’s impossible to remove without destroying the roll. Not worth it.
