Unsure as to why the google review page allows you to make a reservation, when, for whatever reason, it doesn't seem to be connected to the same waitlist they have in person. I made a reservation using the page on here, and when the app (Yelp) said I should be next, my group and I were skipped over. Then, when we were one of the last ones waiting, the hostess (?) came out and made us seem incompetent for not having used the tablet inside (which also uses Yelp to reserve). When we were seated, the server only visited our table to take our order, and deliver the check. I needed a to go box at the end of the meal, and we waited so long for the waiter to return that we ended up just flagging down a different person to get help. The food itself is very (dare I say even below) average- I got the (insanely oily) omelette served with a side of paper-thin hashbrowns. Due to how little there was, at least the hashbrowns were crunchy? Nothing about the restaurant is worth the hype, save for the actual atmosphere/ vibes. The decor is solid. Unfortunately though, I go out to eat so that I may eat with my mouth, and not just my eyes. Wouldn't recommend (unless you have an excess amount of money to waste)

Solid brunch offerings served fast by friendly staff. Highly recommend. They also have outdoor seating & welcome dogs.

Vegetarian options: You can custome order most dishes w/o meat.

Dietary restrictions: They were very good about leaving out ingredients we cannot eat.

What a treat!! Purchased a gift card at Costco that included several restaurants and Uncle John's Pancake House was one. This place a 70's nostalgic t.v. sitcoms, Happy Days /Alice cafe kinda feel...just missing a jukebox. Plenty of seats available. We visited around 11:30 on a Saturday and were able to be seated immediately. The service was top tier. Everyone was super friendly. The food was VERY good! I seldom finish my waffles when we go out, but today was different. Not a morsel left. Whipped cream was definitely homemade and super rich and creamy. My family was super impressed. My daughter said the Thanksgiving pancake was amazing! Parking was a bit limited but we lucked up on a spot immediately in the back parking lot. Check this place out, you won't be sorry.

Picked Uncle John's at random by asking my phone to find "Breakfast Near Me." I was in San Jose with my wife for a Boise State football game.
We were given the choice of a 15-minute wait to be seated inside, or we could be seated outside immediately. It wasn't cold, so we chose to be seated outside. They had several industrial space heaters arranged strategically. It was comfy for me, but my wife sat next to a heater and was happy.
I ordered chicken fried steak and eggs over easy. It came with a choice of crepes, waffles, or pancakes. I chose the crepes. My wife had bacon, eggs, hash browns, and crepes. She also ordered Irish Coffee with Bailey's.
The chicken fried steak was exactly how I like it, crunchy on the outside but still tender enough to be cut with a fork. I ordered my hash browns crispy, and they were very crispy.
The entire meal was very well prepared. I need to give a special shout-out to the crepes. They were delicious, light, and fluffy. The berry whipped cream that came with them was perfect.
The price was very reasonable. The service was attentive without being annoying. They were busy, and the wait staff was hustling, but my coffee cup never was empty.
If you are looking for home cooked food, reasonably priced, and good service, then go to Uncle John's.

amazing food for a morning after the sharks game. was ready fast food and service was great. place was packed too. still great service. will dine there for sure again. ate the food too fast for pictures. omlette was amazing. my wife had chocolate battered pancakes they were also good.

Great little neighborhood breakfast spot.  Arrived about 1030 on a Wednesday and was seated right away. Weather was beautiful so we sat outside. Service was quick and attentive even with there being 6 in our party. Ambiance on the patio is great. It is closed off from the street but plenty of light and some great wall art! Food came out as large portions and outstanding. I had the meat lovers souffle that was super fluffy and had tons of meat and Swiss. The hashbrowns won me over. I always ask for them to be well done and this place had them perfect. Everyone loved the sides of pancakes and waffles that were both huge! All in all a great visit and would highly recommend! Pro tip: most restaurants in California do not do individual tickets but will divide into as many tickets as you want evenly. We did everything 6 ways since all of us had pretty much the same priced items!

Had a scramble. It was good. Ask for the potatoes on the side, not under the eggs. Trust me. Pancakes, not bad. Fast, friendly service. Can't complain.
