Excellent vibe, nice folks classic cocktails.
Keep your guard up and don't trust the manager of this place. His name is Frank and his female cousin is also an untrustworthy individual. They only care about their rich customers, such as Ernie Casetta, who owned a used car company. I was an honest and faithful customer and went there to sing in Anita's show. Vahl's Restaurant & Cocktail is the coolest bar in the bay area with a movie set/Vegas vibe. The bartendress Elva is wonderful and serves culinary delights like chile colorado and chile rellenos. It's an old-school hangout worth the drive, where everybody knows your name. They only accept cash and serve lunch food from Thursday to Saturday. Remember to tip your bartender and mind your manners to keep the retro atmosphere intact. A must-visit spot in San Jose for a unique and friendly experience.
