The only Vietnamese duck salad in SJ, good Central Vietnam (Hue) specialties, made by a Hue elderly couple who preserve authentic Hue cuisine. Must try.

This place is very dirty and the service sucks. The Vietnamese ladies are means and rude. We ordered 2 dishes ( vịt tìm and bún măng vịt) and wanted to add a duck salad the services said no too much food. How can you finish all the food. Just rude ! Very rude! I do not recommend the vịt tìm . Ít was not good. The duck was over cook. The meat has been the in both for too long. This place sucks ! too much MSG.
Vegetarian options: The vit Tim was over cook and been in the broth for too long.
Kid-friendliness: No. Rude people the servers are rude!

The Bahn Beo is so good. The rice cake is thin but very flavorful, and the droid shrimp on top are delicious.

FANTASTIC restaurant, would highly recommend! The food here is both comforting and healthy. The duck porridge was especially flavorful. Speaking with the owners of the shop you feel right at home. 💗

We surprised our friend who loves duck but chooses something else because I am not a fan. He had noodle soup with steamed duck, my husband had porridge with steamed duck. I requested baked chicken with egg noodles. Tasty and not dry for ducks and chicken. The chicken reminded me of hu tieu with the broth on the side. Each entree was a generous serving and can share with others. The dipping sauce was great for both meats. I would have ordered the appetizers but our friend is allergic to shrimp.

The Duck salad is soooooo good!! It comes with a healthy portion of duck and salad and the sauce is very tasty! Highly recommend this salad if you're ever craving some duck salad!
The place is located in a busy shopping area with limited parking and other high demand restaurants but there is parking in the larger shopping area next door! The atmosphere is a typical little Asian San Jose restaurant. Small and intimate.

By far my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in San Jose. Also the best Bánh bèo (steamed rice cakes) I've had outside of Hue Vietnam where they originate. The proprietor give me directions to a place in Hue to try them and I made the trip while I was in Vietnam. After trying them all over the Bay area, in Orange County and in Paris France these are second only to the ones from the restaurant in Vietnam.Incredibly friendly staff, outstanding food, what more could you possibly want?

Old lady with glasses server carry hot tea out spilled all over wife when she place it out on the table and got all over wife clothing cost a minor burn on her hand. We didn't give them a hard time, it just accident. Wife moved to another seat. Then the lady server brought out the hot noodles bowl for me. Instead handed to me right there, but instead carry the hot bowl noodles reaching over across wife side and placed next to me almost spill over her again. Crazy. Then when come to check out. I asked how much is everything? The lady boss say cash $140. handed her the total amount . Then I asked for a receipt. The lady boss not sure so she retype the amount again in the cash register and came out to be $112 then she added on a 20% tips. Total came out to be around $132 something. So old lady boss gave back to me $10. Didn't say anything. Wow, we got cheated plus wife put some tips on the table as well. Even though she got minor injuries from the hot tea spilled on her hand. We left and i took the tips off from the table return back to wife. This place need to be more honest on their bill.

Duck was pretty good, other items just okay. Kinda shady with a takeout fee and cash only.
