I love their Lasagne. My husband's favorite is the Baked Penne Sciliano. Wonderful flavors and large portions. I want to try a pizza or or the Catch of the day. I saw a filet being served that looked enticing. The service is excellent. Outdoor dining is an option. The ambiance makes it feel both cozy and private. This is our favorite Italian restaurant.
For the first time in many visits the food was cold (salmon) and the vegetable were cold , however the fettuccini was steaming hot. A very uneven set of temperatures. This is not the Vito's we know.
I always find a rewarded experience at Vito's for a relaxing and quiet time when needed for a business atmosphere.
Food was OK- if they are indeed the readers choice for the best Italian in the area then that tells you how bad Italian food in San Jose must be. We had a 7:00 reservation and we were told at 7:20 that the kitchen was about to close and we needed to get our order placed asap- app, salad, the entre then came out in rapid progression in an obvious effort to rush us along. Check was dropped while I was still eating. This was a Tuesday night.
That's Italian! Can you really 1 up Italian food anymore? Wait staff was fantastic but nothing really extra special. Would return again. Was on business 3/23-3/28.
As always, a delightful experience! Staff is always helpful and competent. We did the panko-encrusted Chilean sea bass special, and the Chicken Marsala. Both were delicious! Vito's is always a great and special experience, and we're fortunate to have such a great family-run restaurant in San Jose.
We all had veal piccata and it was excellent! The sauce was perfectly seasoned as were the vegetables. We also enjoyed our waiter who had a great sense of humor.
If you are looking for a local Italian restaurant with friendly service and tasty favorites, Vito's delivers.
I live in Milpitas on the hill side and I do not like the lack of options for fine dining in Milpitas. We have gone downtown for years but that is a hassle. Vito's is a short Uber there and always only one minute to get an Uber to come home as they are right by the cell phone parking. We find the place delightful. Staff are attentive and friendly. Food is very good and they have nice specials. We plan to go there more.
Creative dishing ... everything was well prepared ... and the service was awesome. Well done!

Classic Italian dishes served in a classic Italian restaurant venue. Fish and pasta were cooked perfectly, and the staff was friendly and super efficient. Parking was a bit tricky, as the street parking was limited and the parking lot was not intuitively available.

I wish the food would have tasted better. I ordered a margarita pizza (which is just a cheese pizza here), cheese ravioli, and pasta carbonara. The pizza was incredibly disappointing. The cheese and crust were tasteless and it was too greasy.
The carbonara was also disappointing. I can see what it was trying to do, but it missed the mark.
The cheese ravioli was overall good. The marinara sauce and ricotta filling was great. However, I suspect that they were previously frozen.
Food took about 25 minutes to arrive. Felt like a long time though.
