Make sure you ask for the hot rice. I paid $50 for a meal that was cold from meat to rice. Not crazy about that.

Parking here can be challenging since it's located in a plaza with City Sports. If you're looking for a quick meal, this place is like a Vietnamese version of Chipotle. You customize your bowl to your liking. You choose your base, protein, veggies and finish it off with sauce. The order was quick and easy. I went with the rice noodles, beef, all the vegetables and the VN sauce and lime soy vinaigrette. The ingredients were fresh and tasty.

Love this idea of making your bowl the way you like. Choose your base, we chose noodles, then your protein, I had pork and my child had beef, and then your veggies and sauces. The pork and beef were cooked well and tender. I loved the nori fries. Extra crispy with a hint of sweetness.

We ate mainly vegetarian dishes and they all favored just right. The mushroom spring rolls are a bit bigger so instead of dipping you need to scoop the sauce on top. A nice find for a fast food type of place with fresh ingredients. Service was excellent.

Service and stock on hand are great. If you're remodeling and need woodwork, crown or baseboard moulding they have the display and stock on hand to serve your needs. Homer was a great help in answering our questions.

It's good food and doesn't feel like junk food. Parking is hard to find during the weekdays around lunch so order Togo. Service is good.

This place is like a Viet Chipotle. Great for light meals and the portion is generous so you can save some for later. You build your own bowl with choice of base, meat, veggies, and sauce. I got the rice noodle bowl with pork and all the veggies except jalapeño and vn fish sauce. I love the flavor and texture of the grilled pork and the sauce goes great with the rice noodles. I also got their shrimp rolls and they were alright. A bit too much veggies inside for my liking and I thought the shrimp was kinda small.

Delicious rice noodle bowl arguably above and beyond many restaurants. Very fresh ingredients cooked to order. Impressed by the tenderness of the shrimp and what in Chinese we call the taste of the wok of both the shrimp and the veggies. The signature fish sauce is also a must.

Love this place! A healthy alternative and celiac friendly! My daughter had the nori fries and said they were "the best" ! Glad we re-visited an old favorite!

Pretty damn good lunch . I think of this as a Viet Chipotle. I went a little extra and got the Banh Mi Taco which was hella good for 4 bucks i will probably get 2 or 3 next time and just make that my meal. I got a Coke which i will skip next time as i was trying to eat a healthier lunch. First time here at my lunch was 27, i will be smarter next time and maybe get the Kalbi salad only to-go instead to keep my lunch under 20 bucks.

We came for some quick takeout. You can do a custom bowl with white rice, brown rice, vermicelli, or salad. We both went with the VN grilled pork for the meat, but they also have shrimp, chicken, beef, and tofu. They have various sauce options, but fish sauce is my go to. Interesting sides include like nori fries and pork sliders. Service is quick and friendly.

So delicious and healthy! I love this local gem, the perfect answer when you're looking for a healthy and delicious lunch :) My go-to so far is the beef and salad with the lime soy vinaigrette. So good and soooo healthy!! Their vinaigrette has no oil yet tastes so amazing when paired with the beef, I'm so happy about that! Their Thai tea is also my fav of all the tea places I've been to too :) if you're looking for a healthy and delicious meal, come to VN Grill! :)

I honestly don't know how they have such good reviews. My experience was so bad I can only assume they paid for them or they had a really off day and unfortunately I just happened to show up. Anyways, colleague and I were in San Jose for work and she's half Vietnamese. The spots I normally frequent are closed because it's a random weekday but we do some research and like the good rating. First off, it's a build a bowl type spot. Not at all what I thought it was going to be and want as I generally don't like these types of spots. The bowls you chose a base, protein, toppings and sauce. They were okay. The downfall was the shrimp spring rolls. These were laughably bad. The thinnest shrimp which I mean, I get it they're a business. But the inside was all lettuce and the tiniest but of noodles. Ummm where's the mint? Any cilantro? Or chives? This was easily the saddest spring roll and we threw it. In the end, we were still hungry so we found a different place and went there for a second better lunch.
